I was looking for a laptop and came across this which seems like a good deal for one with a 240HZ QHD OLED. Postage is extra.

    This is a lot of computer for 2k in a nice looking, slim ish laptop.
    12th gen i7, 3060 (a bit meh but it's a semi thin/semi lite), 16gb soldered + 2 upgradeable ram slots as well… Looks like a second (at least m.2 slot)…

    1080p is OK at 15.6… my only gripe is the IO. 3 X USB A and only a single USB C and it's not even TB4..?

    Otherwise solid, good find.

      For interested punters, save $280 and downgrade following:
      - OLED 240hz -> IPS 165hz
      - 1TB NVMe SSD -> 512 M.2
      - Wifi 6E -> Wifi 6

      • Best thing about Lenovo is 16:10 screen that gets rid of that thic chin on MSI

      • Seems you can upgrade the RAM to 32GB, SSD to 1TB and Wi-Fi to 6E for only $148 at the moment.

    • Apologise if it’s a silly question looking for some
      Insight as which ones better? The Legion or Thinkpad?

        Completely different needs. The Z series is a work laptop with good battery life and the other is a gaming laptop.

      very nice alternative, tempted..!

  • The specs is really impressive

    • 240 Hz?

      I like my computers running in GHz, thanks.

    The website title says QHD but the description says FHD ? Which one is correct ?

    240hz on an overpriced outdated laptop is really NICHE

    Get a lenovo legion instead. Better in everyway.

    • +1

      Didn't neg, but arguably the display in the MSI is better.
      240Hz QHD OLED vs 165Hz WQXGA IPS
      So not objectively better in everyway

        A search indicates that the nits on this is circa 350. The legion was 500.
        Legion was the better deal….$2k got you a 3070, 32gb ram etc

        Oh wait this is OLED, dunno now.

  • Does the OLED Screen on the Laptop have HDR?
