Mamia Ultra Dry Nappy Pants - Size 5 (50 for $14.99) or Size 6 (44 for $13.99) @ ALDI

100

I have noticed that the non-reduced prices of nappy pants has risen a lot at Coles, Woolies and Amazon in the last 12 months. A lot of nappy pants are now around the 90c to $1 each when not on special.

These Mamia's aren't the equivalent of Huggies Ultimates, but at 30c each (Size 5) they are pretty affordable.

These nappies are great, I definitely recommend them. The only issue we find is that they sometimes struggle to last through a night. Our middle-ground is that we use these throughout the day, and whack a Huggies on for the night.

We do something similar. Woolworths little ones throughout the day and Huggies Ultimate overnight. Perfect combo

Agreed - generally I think these are pretty average but for the $$$ you can't complain.

  • I think these are somewhere between huggies essential and huggies ultra dry. Nowhere near huggies ultimate in terms of the volume and style of absorbency (dry surface even when wet), softness and thickness. Good for day time usage to save some money if they suit your baby or toddler.

    • Been using these from the very beginning and have been very happy with them. Bought Huggies ultra dry once to see what the hype was about and found Mamia to be so much better than the Huggies. Haven't tried the ultimate though.

      • Why you got negged? People get random negs nowadays here just by sharing their own experiences…

  • I think the most I ever paid for the huggies size 5 ultimate was 70c. Usually buy through amazon s and s where it’s more like 60c. Last week bought at Cole’s for 69c ea on special.

Amazon been out of stock for about 2 weeks though.

Might give these a go because damn 30c each, saving a lot 🤔

  • Is it me only? Feels like Aldi one dropped in quality…. Or maybe the kid is peeing way more now…

colesworth is cheaper for homebrand nappies size 5. $11.50 for 44 (~26c each.

    • Yeah but nappy pants are typically a lot more expensive than plain nappies…

  • Our boy finds it ieasier to take off his nappy pants and roam wild !🙌 So we had to switch back to regular nappies than nappy pants. Guess saves me a few bucks everymonth for what it is worth

He might be almost ready for potty training.

Our 3 year old started doing that and has taken to the potty like a duck to water.

Warning though - once potty training starts, expect to be asked to goto the toilet frequently and often at the most inconvenient times - like every time you goto the shops, everytime you are in a hurry, etc….

      • Got shamed the other day for our 2.5yr old only just now regularly using a potty and toilet. "I would think so at 2.5 yrs old". Sounds like she is doing ok afterall.

  • I might be wrong but last time I looked, these were actually made in Australia vs Huggies made overseas. Coincidentally, Huggies seemed to have really strong chemical smells especially on the Ultimate which was a shame as they used to be great.

    • They're made in China. Check the packaging. :-( The nappies used to be made in Australia, I'm not sure if the nappy pants ever were. I stopped buying Huggies and went to Aldi brand when Huggies moved manufacturing offshore.
