  Not sure why people are whinging about the font size. I have the all-in-one volume for LOTR and its the same size and perfectly legible.

  Word of advice: If you haven't read the Lord of the Rings and plan to read it, search some large 2nd hand shops for an old, faded 1960s or 1970s copy. It will be more in keeping with the mood of the story.

    Try and get the edition with the appendix and index in it too. The appendices are a fascinating read and expand upon life before and after the ring.
