Perfect timing for the lightning cable deals, just brought the kids cheap iphones each so im sure we will be smashing through these soon! Thanks!

  • To be honest, not sure what the cable quality is, but $1.475 per cable!

  • Anyone knows if this can also charge Airpods?

    • Yes, it should charge anything with a lightning port.

  • oos for chreap

Still works - need to apply the 50% discount by checking the box….

Everyone trying to sell off their lightning cable stock after iphones going to start using usb c haha

    • My body is ready…

  • From Sep all super fast USB-C - Apple cannot make profit from "Apple approved" proprietary cables ;)
They are trying to get rid of obsolete cables that new phones will not use. If you wait they will drop to cents :)

  • where is the 50% off coupon?

    • +1

      Gone.

Basically the original price was lower and you can also tick an additional 50% off option.

Now the base price is much higher and the additional discount is 20% off. No more a deal.

  • Mine arrived today. Packaging was great. They look and feel robust. It came with a 5th short cable as a gift (maybe 20cm).

Unfortunately, the cables suck for two reasons: they don't reliably charge, and they fall out of some lightning ports.

I have an iPhone 6 and a 13. The cables fall out of the iPhone 6, but not the 13. There is a bit of slop when plugged into the iPhone 6, and some gentle side to side movement will wiggle the plug out of the socket. It's like there's something always gently pushing the plug out. This happens with all of the cables provided. Other lightning cables firmly stay in; only these ones fall out. This behaviour is not seen in my iPhone 13.

Maybe these cables aren't compatible with a slightly worn charge port? Sample size of 1, here. Anyone else seeing this?

The charging is unreliable. On my iPhone 13 (and the 6), the cables sometimes just cuts out. When I plug cable in, the phone lights up and chimes like it's charging, but the battery indicator stays with its usual non-charging icon. I've tried wiggling or flexing the cable (like you can sometimes do with an old cable with broken wires), but charging doesn't start. It takes a reinsertion (or multiple reinsertions) to get charging going. Sometimes the phone starts charging fine, but when I check it later, it's stopped - and not at 80% for battery health reasons either.

This is weird behaviour. Both the physical ejection and the random non-charging.

If the charging was slow (1.1A), but reliable, then I'd be okay with it. This isn't though. Plug your phone in, come back 2 hours later, and your phone will not be fully charged, because it will have failed at some point - through either physical ejection of plug, or unknown stoppage. That's my experience.

When these are charging, the speed seems perfectly adequate - not incredibly fast, not incredibly slow. I don't have any measurements, sorry. The visual design is great. It's just a shame that there's something faulty with the physical plug and the unreliable charging.
