The code is only limited to these items as part of the eBay Plus Tuesday deals

      The T&C is this one

Bought the $249 V7, a week later our 6 year old V6 battery died so was just in time. Also bought a replacement battery for the V6 and gifted to family. V7 works nicely compared to V6.

  • Looking to get a cordless vacuum, and at far have only purchased the cheap ones from kmart whose battery dies pretty quick. Are these 300+ vacuums really that good and value for money? Looking for something i can grab quickly to clean my kids mess after they eat or come from the garden, without having to plug it every time.

I can vouch for this model. Upgraded from the earlier model and so much better. Also comes with a wall mounting kit so stays charged when not in use. Much better than the cheap offerings from the like of Kmart IMHO

      • Our v7 didn’t come with a wall Mount, but it did come with three different nozzles.

    • Never had a Cordelia’s vac before but we bought this last month.
Wife thinks it’s works really well. I bought a small Flexi extension so it makes it easy to vac the car, works great.
I guess the thing with this Dyson is there’s heaps of non-genuine parts available so any bits a pieces are pretty cheap.

        Amazing autocorrect. Cordelia's vac.

        • +1

          Bloody hell… i assume i meant cordless..🤣

In my experience Dyson is marginally better than the Kmart options.
I've used 2 different Dysons and one Kmart stickvac and the experience was pretty similar - underwhelming.
The Dyson ones did have a longer run time on one charge , but sucked as bad as the Kmart one.

Hard disagree. I hate to shill for Dyson seeing as how overpriced most of their stuff are, but they work pretty darn well. I have this vacuum, it's really good compared to cheap cordless ones I've tried.

        • I dont know the models of the Dyson sticks I used, could be that the top of the line ones are much different but I was also underwhelmed how cheap they felt, with all the connections being a bit "floppy" - felt like a cheap plastic product barely holding together.

      • I know there are many Dyson fans out here, but imho buying v7 is like buying a iPhone6, in year 2023. Don't know abt the kmart ones but I am pretty certain there are other better options at that price range. v7 was good but when I replaced it with latest $200 alternative abt 2 yrs ago, v7 went straight into the bin.

300 is not a lot of money for a vacuum. As you have discovered only rich people can afford to buy cheap things (they keep breaking)

    • Yeah, very handy. Dysons has a tendency to die few months after your warranty has expired. Taking the extra $$ you pay for the brand - not sure. I had two, now got Bosch stick and honestly it’s way better.

      • Did you contact Dyson support? Have done so countless times at work and twice myself or for family they typically honour support out of warranty within reason.
Support is provided based more on ACL than warranty from experience

        • I did. First time it was a dead battery block and they refused to do anything except selling me a new one. Second it was a brush head, which stopped rotating - again, they suggested I just buy a new one. I did, together with the rest of Bosch stick.

          • @corvusman: Damn, sorry to hear that. I hope the Bosch is serving you well

    • I have this https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/dreame-v10-cordless-vacuum-clea… (I have no idea what, if any, difference there is between the V10 and T10, they look identical https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/dreame-handheld-vacuum-cleaner-…)

Have had it for a year now and love it. Battery still going strong, and does my whole house if using the medium strength setting. The different attachments are great, and just being able to grab it off the wall bracket, use it, and hang it back up when done makes it so easy to do quick jobs.

      I highly recommend.

      • Thanks, had been looking at the dreame model in the past, but some of other ozbargainers mentioned the replacement batteries are nearly impossible to find, while you can get the dyson generic ones almost anywhere

  • What's the best value corded vac? Not interested in a model restricted by the wattage a battery can supply.

    • I've been impressed with my Dyson DC29, but they're superseded by (I assume) the Dyson Cinetic (?)

I bought a Miele c3 cat and dog a few years ago that has a powered head and enough suction on carpet to make it a workout.
I'm buying this now because I cbf with the cord mechanism, noise and theatrics of the above for every little event. We shall see.

      • Aren't Miele extremely expensive?

      • Also have Miele c3 and hands down one of the best dam buys ever done.
        Seriously good bit of kit.

      • When using the C3 there's no point in cranking it to the max suction setting, it's powerful enough and easier to use at lower settings. Great vacuum provided you're willing to put up with buying bags.

    • Best corded? Miele by far.

    • I bought a Pullman PV900 backpack vac mainly for the HEPA13 filtration. Wasnt sure how the backpack style would go but works really well to do the whole house without unplugging/pulling a vac along. After discounted ebay gift cards it was less than $300.

I was going to buy this one, but it looks like the v7 origin advanced and the v8 (except absolute) only comes with the motorized head. Which looks great for carpet, but only "pretty good" for tiles. Whereas the fluffy (v8 absolute) looks ridiculously good on tiles.

If we are planning on using it 90% on tiles, often vacuuming up Cheerios and whatever else the kids throw on the ground, it seems like fluffy is the only way to go. Is that a fair assessment?

Edit: we currently have a dc59 (predecessor to v6) so I'm sure either one is an upgrade, but it just sounds like it's a waste not getting one that includes the fluffy head

    • Correct v7 is not that great without the fluffy head for tiles and hard flooring.

  • Actually, is this the same as the v7 advanced origin? If not, maybe you are better off getting the advanced origin from Dyson ebay for $330. No idea if they are the same or which one is "better" if they differ. The Dyson models are so confusing.

    • +1

Yup best buy the v7 advanced origin which is basically a V8.

    • +1

Looks like the V7 Advanced is pretty much a V8 spec wise. Just note the advanced only comes with a charger and not the docking station (wall mount).

      • +1

Where do you find this out?

        • +3

Any V7 model with Advanced in the name has the battery and motor of the V8. Personal opinion but pretty sure head office didn't want to devalue V8 selling it as low as they do the V7 Advanced range.

          • @Anthropomorphised: Thanks for confirming this! With regards to the motor head, will a V8 fluffy head fit this?

            • @melon92: Absolutely will, you'll be looking for part 966489-11 Soft Roller Cleaner Head. Officially titled for V8 but from experience works fine and is sold with V7 in Asian countries

              • @Anthropomorphised: Hi, Would v7 advanced be able to use v6 docking station? Thanks n advance

                • +1

@mnc: Unfortunately not to my knowledge, it has the same battery as the v8

                  • @Anthropomorphised: Will V7 advanced be able to use normal v7 docking station or will it need v8 docking station? Thank You again.

  • I picked up the dreame v9 over boxing day for $150, it's a solid unit but this deal has be wishing I held on a little longer.

  • Is this the one without the dock? Where can i get a charging dock from

    • Looks like comes with the dock.

What's in the box - Dyson V7 Origin vacuum cleaner, Direct drive cleaner head, Combination tool and Docking station

    • Can confirm this comes with the dock/mount

  • $349 for the V7 Advanced Origin on Kogan inc delivery. Is the Kogan a better deal? Spend a little more to get a better motor?

  • +1

The V7 Advanced is a better deal for $329 off Dyson Ebay

    • +1

Agreed. Down to $324 with eBay Plus.

      • +1

        Thanks bought the advanced ;)

      • How'd you get $324? I have eBay Plus but my coupon was for $20 off

        • My voucher was $25 - valid until 31/03
