    AMD Ryzen™ 7 7735HS, 8 Cores/16 Threads

For those unaware of the new AMD mobile CPU naming/numbering system, it's a rebadged 6800HS with a slightly higher boost clock. (4.75GHz vs 4.7GHz)

    • I was about to say, Ryzen 7!!! - I've got to get out more.

    • Similar to the CPU in the top of the range hand held gaming systems? Ie. Ayaneo Air 2 etc.

      • Yeah as far as i can tell its the same chip as the ryzen 6800u but with higher power targets

    • The UM690 (6900HX) has a slightly higher 680m boost clock. That would likely be better for gaming.

Given similar cpu performance, this would likely be better value for general computing.

      • The UM690 uses a Ryzen 9. I ordered one last week. I went with the barebones to get better quality Ram and SSD. The ram can be upgraded and the Bios modified for further improvements. ETA Prime did a YT video on it.

And just to add to you, for folks who are not similiar with ryzen mobile apus, the 6000 series is really just refreshed 5000 series made in updated 6nm nodes, as such, performance increases are marginal at best compared to even a 2 year old R9-5900HS. The main upgrades bein the RDNA2 iGPU and better battery life - which doesnt matter here since its not a laptop.

  • Anyone know of the top of their head of usb 4 is compatible with thunderbolt 3?

    • Think it uses the same/similar USB4 controller (RTS5452H) and retimer (PS8830) as See 6 pro VEST which supports display port alternate mode 2.0 and tb 3/4.

    • That's for 6800m, couldn't find the info on 680m

  • +1 for the ETA Prime review :)

  • This code does not seem to work for me, has anyone else had any issues with it?
