    • +2

      You know the deal: HODL

  • +4

Crazy price on the 5070 build. The GPU alone is nearly $1k.

  • Can you list the offered VRAM in each build please?

    • +1

Sure - these cards only come in 12GB and 16GB variants respectively.

  • +10

Another day of not putting the CL of the RAM

    • +4

It is crap we know. But it is also cheap

    • +1

Does it even matter for those gaming at 4k?

  • Any chance of the small itx i5 + 4060 build popping up again soon? Missed the last one and pretty keen for a small / backpack sized esports pc.

    • +1

Will look at it! Just need to arrange boards

      • Awesome I’ll keep an eye out / set a notification

      • Also keen for ITX build. Would love this 5070 system in itx

  • +5

    Any 9800x3d deals coming?

  • +2

What are the better brands from the selections for the RAM and the SSD?

  • -3

    where's the Intel stuff

  • -3

    No ITX no deal

If you don't have enough know-how to put together a PC for yourself, I would recommend avoiding TechFast.

A family member received a PC, amongst other problems (PC wouldn't start), their team had the case fans connected directly to the PSU. Apparently, it went through a "testing" phase, but I don't believe that for a second or somebody would have caught that.

Pretty dodgy, would not trust again.

    • +11

How do 3 or 4 pin PC case fans connect straight to a PSU? or were they old molex ones or something? haha!

Must have got a lemon unit or Windows installed incorrectly

    • +2

I got it, delivered after one month which is too long since i needed it for exam. Ended up buying a pc and building it myself. Got better quality components albeit at a higher price. Once the techfast arrived, i opened the box, took a picture and sold it on marketplace at a loss. Not even one day and the buyer complained that there are some issues with the PSU. YMMV but overall, bad experience with Techfast

    • +1

I purchased a brand new system from TechFast a while ago, and to be honest, their prices are probably unbeatable. However, I have to admit that the computer came with some issues, and as someone who doesn’t know much about computers, it really put me off using it.

The system starts up fine and everything appears to work, but there’s one major problem — the internet speed is extremely slow. It can’t exceed 1 Mbps, even when I connect it directly to the modem via an Ethernet cable. I’m not sure what’s causing the issue.

That said, I don’t believe TechFast is a dodgy company. I think the problem may be due to poor quality control, which could use some improvement. Still, their pricing remains hard to beat.

    • +2

I've had 2 builds from them up to this point and both are going strong (nephew inherited and has been thrashing the first one since I upgraded).

    • Puts " Fully professionally built, stress tested and packaged for transport " into doubt.

  • +24

Sorry, I prefer buying each component 1-by-1 with the intention of saving money and inevitably spending more anyway

    • +1

You had me in the first half ngl

  • +1

    Hey guys,

Can you tell me what the PSU upgrades are? All your site says is the wattage and efficiency. I'd like to know if they're modular as you go up to the higher tiers (for instance, 750W Gold).

Keen on getting two identical units. Thanks.

  • +2

$240 for express post to Sydney? Seems excessive :-/

  • +2

Gets an upvote from me for at least using the Gigabyte Gaming Plus variant of that board, rather than the pretty smelly Gaming (nonplus) version

  • Hi interested in the r5/5070 combo, which case has the power button on top?

  • Does anyone know what Techfast does when they undercut their own deals ?
I only just placed an order 2 weeks ago for the TechFast 7800x3d / 5070TI deal.
It is yet to commence build as per their Website order status.
This deal today undercuts that price by about $250
What are my options here? It is hard to not feel hard done by, seeing this deal when I havent even got my PC yet.

    • Just cancel it.

    • +1

Based on their previous replies to similar comments.. they'll ask you to send the details on email/ozb inbox and they'll be happy to update to the newer deal.

Don't quote me, but they seem to be honorable towards customers in that regard.

    • +25

      I just emailed techfast
Within minutes I got a reply saying they will refund the $250 difference
      Absolutely amazing service from them!

    • +2

Usually they give you the difference, but you need to ask…

    • Techfast are really good at changing your order if you find a better one.

I changed from the 12400f/4060 ITX to the 5600/4060ti and they were happy to change it for me.

  • +4

This $1388 deal is better vs https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/911211 for $1299.20. I'd rather pay the extra $88.80 to have better MB and better/newer GPU. GG to the people who pulled the trigger too early and bought the HP Omen.

  • +3

what's the realistic ETA on these deals?

    • +6

According to the ancient scrolls, it shall arrive precisely when the moon aligns with your fridge light turning on mysteriously at 3 a.m.

Seriously be prepared to wait beyond the maximum prep days - but overall you cant beat the price.

    • +1

      prob 6-8 weeks

  • This is tempting..

I was planning on getting a 5070/9070 to replace my 3070 in my 5800x3d build and using my old 3070 r5 3600 in a cheap am4 budget build for the kids..
350 for the parts needed + 950-1050 for a 9070/5070 brings it to about 1400.. wonder if it’s worth just getting this and not having to worry about building another pc myself ozbargainers pls help

    • +1

I think you answered your own question :D This deal is perfect for what you want.

    • -1

The gigabyte mobo in the deal will make 7800x3d perform like your 5700x3d lol, upgrade option is a must, add that cost. The Asus one has only 8 phases vrm , not ideal but it’s minimal.

      • Wasn’t planning on getting the 7800x3d deal was going to opt for the 7500f which gets me onto the am5 platform.. so this board wouldn’t be able to handle a 7800/9800x3d?

      • Based on what? It's an 8-core CPU you wouldn't push past stock, and may undervolt. The issues with the board are:

        1. What will Zen 6 look like on AM5?
        2. Will DDR5 support be extended to go along with that?
        3. No PCIE 5.0 support.
        • -2

Asus Tuf 650m-E is PCE 6 with 4+4 , CPU max load 259W
          Gigabyte gaming max load 93w.

10-20% power loss going through components under different temperatures

7800x3d and 9800x3d peak tdp 162w, monitored power spike can be 300+W.

I leave the math for you to decide which board fits your scenario. It’s up to you if you support your premium CPU when it’s begging for 300W, or you only share 70w for your baby.

          • @Legendalvin: This is the Gaming Plus, do you have confirmed data on that? What would be the cause if so? If it's the VRM heatsinks, you can buy an AIO that has a VRM cooler, problem solved.

It almost never goes past 82W anyway and peaks at 98W in a Prime stress test at stock, so no idea what you're talking about. If we were talking about a 9800X3D I would have been more concerned, but I still wouldn't have thought it'd be unusable.

  • +5

Just placed my order! Still using my pc bought from tech fast back in 2019. Can confirm customer service and value for money is right up there.

  • -1

Anyone know if possible to order a pc & ask for it to be built with no cpu for a discount? I wanna pair the 5070 combo with a 7800x3d

    • No, not part of their business model

  • +4

Wife had been wanting an upgrade for ages so picked up the 5070 deal! Gonna get so much FPS playing Stardew Valley…

  • +2

@luketechfast can the Optioned antec CX500M case be white colour?

    • Would be keen on this too!

  • I'd like to see a Core 7 265K build with a 5070Ti

  • +1

    surely a sub 1400 9070 7500f deal right @luketechfast

  • -2

should upgradde it or something the motherboard or smth

  • how much can i sell the 5070 card for ?

  • Finally pulled the trigger with 5070 build :) but whats the ETA for the build @luketechfast

    • Did you say ETA? :) Usually LUKE will leave the chat at that point. :) Just joshin….

  • +1

Cant say im impressed with techfast builds. Myself and 2 of my siblings have previously ordered custom builds and all 3 of us have had different issues.

  • +1

    Not recommended
Long wait and pc with messy build

  • is the first deal still available? OOS?

    Keen to order 1…

    • +1

      back in stock for now

  • +1

Wow. $400 cheaper than the Nebula 5070 build which I purchased a few weeks ago (specs are similar except the PSU in nebula is silver rated). Got the Nebula delivered within 2 weeks though.

  • L7500F sold out this morning, I had it in my cart from last night. @luketechfast can we make it happen?

    • Same here was going to purchase today too rip

  • +2

if you’re sydney base, I recommend NebulaPC

  • Unbeatable price… But what are the actual wait time like?

    • Systems have already started going into build for both deals.

      • Mine hasn't updated yet, any way to know how far away is my order to change status?

  • just received status change on my order to 'now in build'

  • Nooooooooooooooooooo i needed that 5070 deal

  • Is nobody talking about the 5070ti because it's not a good deal? I'm not knowledgeable enough to know what would make it bad or good.

  • Got one of the restocked units. Upgraded the PSU to 750W Gold ($49) and changed the case to the MSI Mag Forge 320R ($0 cost) for potential future ATX mobo upgrade. $1514 delivered.

    • +1

I got the exactly the same build with the msi case and the 750 gold psu. But a bit more on shipping for W.A. This should keep the kids happy for a few years. $1531 delivered.

      • Same I upgraded to 750w gold for peace of mind.

Was 50/50 on the case but decided to stick to default Antec because while I prefer non-glass more, the default Antec case has Front ( well, side) USB-C IO

    • Bought the same one as you. Everyone is saying it's a steal. My first pc lol.

  • Geez was looking at this deal last night and could have sworn it was out of stock and missed out on the intel deal. So my mate who was wanting a new pc ended up purchasing one of the 5060Ti models for his budget, being able to after pay it was also one of his requirements. Reckon there is any chance they'd let him swap order?

  • Grabbed the 5090 deal, looking forward to it! Have been lying in wait, but this one got me over the line.

  • How easy is it to change from Linux to windows 11 yourself? $169 for win os seems a bit steep

    • Done it from Github mass activation one last time pretty easy for me as a first timer. But I do have some IT background.

  • Just pulled the trigger for the rtx5070 set up. I have upgraded the psu to 850w gold and antec c3 case.

Just curious, what is the 850w psu will likely be use for my upgraded set up?

And if possible, can my order be included 1 hdmi and 2 dp cables? I have a triple monitor setup . Thanks

    • Why would they supply you cables for monitor?

      • Yeah, non sense request

    • It is my first time getting a desktop, so sorry for the amateur questions 😂

  • +2

    5070 + 7700 for $1450 please

  • hey @luketechfast, is it still possible to pick up from the warehouse in Adelaide instead of shipping?
