Thanks to superbass for the code in the AmEx Statement Credit: Spend $25 or More, Get $25 Back, up to 2 Uses @ Placie - Taxi and Rideshare deal which stacks with these codes.

Also thanks to this comment, it seems you can use this to get $10 off Skybus fares.

Existing users just add the code in the app. New users are best to sign up via referral and then add these codes after so you can use both.

For those who don't know, Placie is an app that compares real time pricing for your destination from 13cabs, OLA, Silver Top, DiDi, SkyBus, Hughes, and Black & White Cabs which is then bookable via the app directly.

Update: Looks like it's like this deal and is working for all new users but only some existing users. No idea why I have a special account but I'm not complaining :)

    I've just signed up for this but read so many negative comments I'm not sure it's worth wasting time with - has anybody actually had a consistently good experience with Placie?

      Yeah I have and love it. Really like how you can compare Ola and DiDi.
      Ps this is for new users only or existing users that haven’t used a sign up code. It said I’ve used it but I haven’t but used OCTOBER20 to sign up.

      Bad experience in about 60%.
      The drivers just cancel or disappear.
      If you choose the most expensive fare then they arrive.

        Same can happen on DiDi or Ola apps. It’s the drivers that are the issue not Placie, in my experience.

      I’ve used it twice to the airport and back. I find it really good and no complaints, though on the trip from the airport 2 drivers accepted and then 2 mins later cancelled, but the next available driver picks up the trip fairly quickly.

    Seems like the code is for new users only. I get an error when I try to add the promo code: "A first time promo is in use or has already been used".

      Weird works for me. Do you have any other unused codes on your account?

      My account shows already used promos FORK20, MORERIDES5 and a bunch of referrals and then FINDER10 as active at the top.

    Didn't work for me but have a referral code that is unused on my account.

    Worked on mother's account though and she has already taken one trip with Placie. Bit of a nightmare to the airport, had 3 drivers cancel, 4th one came from 15 mins away. Then before getting in the cab I said please take a route with no tolls to airport (as it was early in the morning, no traffic). Again when we were driving I told the driver no tolls please. Trip is completed and I get billed nearly $7 extra for tolls. Not Placie's fault but still a pain. Placie are investigating with their 'driver partner' and don't take any responsibility for anything themself since they say they just connect you with other companies.

        The one way price is $22.65. Better value if you could get $10 off $37 return fare, rather than $45+ Placie wants to charge,

    Can you select the type of vehicle you need as I had a quick look and could not seem to find it? i.e. if need a max size vehicle for airport drop off with luggage.

      You can select the vehicle.

      So for OLA, it's Prime Sedan or Prime SUV. 13cabs is standard, wheelchair or maxi taxi. Silver Top is 4 seater, 5 seater, low rider, station wagon, wheelchair large, scooter, sedan only, wheelchair x1, x2, silver service, 6 seater, 7 seater, 8 seater, 9, 10. DiDi only has express.

    when I try to book, I selected the coupon code, then click place order , but why the total amount due in my apple pay still the full price? how can I do

      Just make sure ‘use Placie credits’ is toggled on. It will show the full amount, and even on your credit card it might show the full amount initially as a hold… but once it finalises in a couple of days it will be the reduced amount with the credit applied.

    Has anyone been able to book a trip recently? I keep getting "Trip has expired, fetching new trips…" every time I try to select a ride service, and then the page refreshes itself.
