c1 owner here checking in to see these below $3k pricing :(

    • c2 42” owner here checking in to see if these are below $1300 pricing. Not yet, thank goodness.

Also, not relevant to this deal.

      • I appreciate your thoughts

      • Does the code work on c2 42” ?

      • +5

But the C2 42" is $1,196. It's in the title.

That's less than $1,300. If you're fortunate enough to have 15% off gift cards, makes it $1,016.60.

Edit: OP said they updated post.

        • +1

          Yes, OP post edited.

Mmmmm, it is less than $1300.

Maybe everything is a bargain only at the time.

          • +1

@Eeples: Don't worry, think of it as you've gotten to enjoy it all this time. I'm thoroughly enjoying using mine several hours a day.

          • @Eeples: It's almost as if technology products get cheaper as they get older. Weird.

        • Where to get the 15% gift cards?

        • Is it too late to get some of these 15% off gift cards?

  • +2

Also the Sony XR85X90K comes in at $2837 incl. CR which is I believe the best price yet.

  • Been waiting for a decent X90K 75 and this has been the lowest so far. Thanks OP

  • That's cheap for s95b

  • Too slow, they just bumped the price on the 65 CS by $200…

    • +1

They bumped the G2 price up about $1500, i added to cart for $2796 then it updated 5mins later to $3996

      • +2

Yep, price jacks across the board. I watched the 65" S95B go from $2,695 to $2,965 to $3,995. Were some great deals for about an hour.

    • +1

Yeah prices have adjusted with the new catalogue, some have substantially dropped too (like the Samsung Frame TV’s and the 42C2), have updated the deal.

  • +6

Looks like shopback is 5% at 9am

  • +3

Just bought the 42“. Been waiting for it to drop to around $1200s so at this price I had to bite.

    • +6

      Cashrewards tracked for $54.36.

  • +8

    Brilliant offer

The C2 has got to be the best OLED tv for both price and picture quality

  • +1

They are great prices on The Frame tvs. Reminder if you purchase there is a promo for free bezel, just add the bezel to the cart with the tv.

    • How did you manage to stack the bezel and the promo code? I could only apply one at a time.

      • Oh I didn't try, yeah you're right. I would call them up and see if they can include it as that is a Samsung promo for the The Frame right now so I think they might bundle it over the phone. If not Harvey Norman have the same 20% off deal and do include the bezel in the deal, in fact they seem to be $20 cheaper for the 65".

        • Any ideas on the Harvey one & getting the bezel? If you add it to cart it costs.

Can't get the tv through GG as they won't deliver to my place.

  • Great prices on the 65C2….got my CS (C1 with C2 guts) 6 weeks ago for $2300
    Very very happy though!

  • +1

    Thanks OP!

Been waiting for good price on 34" Alienware QD-OLED, but best always around $1,500 So 42" it is!

Did the 4% cashrewards and zip for $100 store credit. Thanks for listing these can both be stacked.

  • No 77" C2 in stock. Argh.

  • +1

I bought The Frame 65" from Samsung for $1539 about a month ago. Now I'm crying a little bit.

  • Is there anywhere you can get discounted gift card for the good guys?

  • They literally bumped up the price of the LG CS by $200 ($2,695 to$2,895) this morning as it was in my cart! Grrrrrr!

    • Our friend Jack has struck again!

  • looks like there is $150 store cash also if you pay with zip pay as well.

  • Slightly cheaper at appliances online with free delivery

    • Yeah some of these seem to be slightly cheaper at HN with free delivery and free wall mount installation

      • Link? I couldnt see this for the samsung nor lg ones

      • Anyone has experience with HN's free wall mount installation? Tempted to snatch A80K…

      • Which TV's are cheaper?

  • wondering if we could get JB hifi to match the price (after code use)?

    • JB have just dropped their prices

  • +1

FYI - JB have just price matched

  • +1

    got one 42". Thanks OP

  • +2

How's the 42 as a PC monitor compared to 34/38 inch ultrawides?

    • +2

Much better overall than anything on the market at this price, including the Alienware OLED

      • I am so tempted.
My desk is only 60 inches deep and 38 inch is perfect for it.
I wonder if this will become uncomfortable for everything else except for gaming.
PayPal 4 in 4 @ $1196 just seems to good to pass up though

        • 60inches is more than enough, mine is even less. You’ll find that due to the legs on this, you can push it around 100mm further back than most monitors anyway

        • Is your desk really that deep - 1.5m? Mine's only 0.7m. I suppose the 42" is too big?

  • Wonder if there will be lower prices for the C2 in the coming month or so.

    • +5

Last time, according to ozbargain posts, the LG C2 65" was an all-time low of $2636 back in December 2022. Now it's $2556 (March 2023). It's only dropped $80 since then. I've seen people get better deals with some of those TV + soundbar combo deals from Jan/Feb this year. Also, the LG G2 65" has been going for roughly ~$2800, when it was on "sale".

Ideally, I think getting the LG G2 65" for ~$2500 to ~$2800 would be a good buy, since it's got a 5-year warranty, and a panel that includes a heat sink.

I do think prices for the LG C2 65" will drop a bit further over the next 3 to 4 months, but I don't have a crystal ball. At most, you'll maybe be saving ~$200 to ~$400 if you wait.

Either way, I would consider getting an LG C2 65" for this current price.

  • Just bought the LG C2 42” for $1395 from JBHifi last night. Classic…

Anyone know if theres a way to get back the proce difference?

    • +1

If you used a credit card with price protection, you're golden! Or just return it and repurchase, assuming you haven't opened it. Alternatively, buy another from TGG and return the new one to JB given that they are the same company anyways?

      • Opened it last night unfortunately and paid with debit. Gonna try my luck with Live Chat but I think my chances are slim :')

If I buy from TGG and return that TV, is there any way of them knowing the difference? Serial on receipt etc

    • +3

I believe that JB have a 14 day price drop / protection guarantee (not specifically documented, but from other's experiences), just give them a call and request a refund of the difference in price and that should be fine.

      • +1

Giving them a call now. Fingers crossed!

        • +1

          Keep us posted!

          • +4

@moo: Went in store with the receipt and they refunded the difference no questions asked.

    • +1

JB have a policy, either 14days or 30days

If you go back in with your receipt they will refund you the difference.

If you paid using Gift Cards, they will only give you a Gift Card back

Edit: I have done this 2-3 times myself.

  • +1

Been waiting for the C2 77" to come down below $5000 for a while now - this brings it down to $4796!

But when I try check out, it can't be delivered to my address (~Penrith) and I can't pick it up either as there's no stores with stock. Do they not want my money? :(

  • -1

    Do these have Bluetooth?

    • Yes, my 42 inch c2 connects perfectly to my sony bluetooth headset. The only (very minor) issue that when you connect through bluetooth it will not allow me to set the display mode to game optimiser mode which I use on my PC. Removes several other display presets too.

      • +1

I'm taking a guess that it's probably because LG alters AV synchronisation when Bluetooth headphones are detected since they can have latency of anywhere from 50-300ms, which on the high end of that scale would be very noticeable in movies with lip sync being off. Game Mode strips away additional processing features, so that's probably why it's disabled in that scenario.

        • Thank you - I hadn't thought of it in those terms.

  • +1

JB just update to $2556 today! on 65" C2 they were $3K + last month!

Sounds like the new C3 release is very near…

Pre-orders open up for US next week for C3, expect it still won't be until mid April that Australian stores will open up for pre-orders.

  • got that 42 C2 ! sweet deal thanks OP !
    i also add a -50$ with a code perks ! very nice !

  • +1

Had my 55" LG C9 as a PC monitor for about 3 years now.

Really it just never gets old looking at such a magnificent screen.

Just paid off my 4090 too, so that's plugged in and it all still looks spectacular. Blackest blacks, vibrant colours. 4K120hz, zero regrets.

LG Oleds are the bees knees, i could never go back to a standard PC monitor.

    • Which one has USB-C connectors? I can't seem to find one. Maybe I'm blind.

      • +1

All the LG oleds use hdmi 2.1 and the more recent nvidia cards have hdmi2.1 connectors.

With my old 2080ti i used a usb C connector to hdmi 2.1 dongle and it still worked fine.

        • Cheers.

    • Just paid off my 4090 too

…did you take out a loan to buy a 4090? Or do you mean you bought it through a 'buy now, pay later' scheme?

  • Just bought the LG C2 42 for my desk from JB and had the code for $50 off $500+ purchase! Brought it down to $1146! Would have preferred using cashback 5% on Goodguys through shopback but no stock nearby and delivery made it more expensive.

    • +2

JB $50 instant saving vs Shopback’s $54.36 (which you won’t know if it will go through).
      You’ve made the right choice.

      • Yeah delivery via Toll from good guys also added another $22 to the ACT

  • Looking to replace my Samsung with a One remote control. This controls my tv, soundbar and Nvidia Shield. Will i get the same functionality from an LG OLED?

  • My C8 has just officially died this week. The panel is shorting out the whole thing. Bear in mind the panel was replaced by LG due to crazy screen burn. I'm a little weary of LG OLEDs now….

    • +1

Hinee as in 'GameArena forums Hinee'? I can't even remember what my GA username was, it was possibly 'Conspiracy:Theory'.

There's a smattering of other handles I remember like Dutch (the cop), Wally3k, the Mbwatu Atuna joke account, that guy with bad spelling/grammar who pretended to be deaf but turned out to be making it up (Wessie?), the guy who was quite popular and made animated reaction gifs, Akaikabe (he was a paramedic?), and the smart guy who was always argumentative about every topic.

I've had burn-in on my C7. The area of burn-in lines up with the static sidebar/menu of my NVIDIA Shield, but I've never left it on for long periods of time and the screen saver feature always kicks in after a few minutes.

      • +1

That's me :D Some of the most formative moments of my online life were thanks to GA. I am still in contact with hawk_rulz and have a few others on my now defunct facebook like fleeek, emonke, misty, Tim (who I forget the username of). Good pickup man!

  • Is it just brightness difference between CS and C2 or any other big difference?

    • I thought c2 had a better processor?

      • Yeah heard that. So what major difference it makes for end user? Is CS laggy as compared to C2 for even normal viewing?

        • +1

My friend has a C1 I don’t feel any lag. IIRC the CS is using C1 panel.

      • from all the info I can find online, the CS and CS processors / softwares are the same, just the case / screen is different / better.
One 'downside' to the CS is that it's a pain in the backside to put on the stand, and mount on a wall as the screen is too thin compared to the connection box on the back - there's no-where to safely grab / manipulate the TV :-(

  • Got a 42 from JB with the perk code, thanks team

    • Is it cheaper than TGG? TGG has 5% cash back this morning.

  • What's ATL?

    • +1

      All Time Low (Price)

  • Bing Lee have LG C2 77 inch cheaper and with cheap delivery. Thanks for the post

  • C2 65 reverted back to $2556 at TGG

  • Bit the bullet and ordered the LG C2 42 inch for use as my PC monitor. Should be great for games and work alike.
