  • No mapping function?

    • doesn't have the lidar sensor on vacuum, wouldn't recommend these roombas without them, it will just aimlessly vacuum around the house with no direction

  • Pretty average (bad?) reviews for this unit.

The comments I found about this unit were quite decent. And $199 is cheap.

  • Review isn't that great but it is $199 I suppose: https://robotobzor.com/reviews/other-brands/midea-i5c.html

We should probably boycott products like this. They have made a concious design choice to have a circular panel at the top that is the exact same size and position as a Lidar sensor to deceive people into thinking it has one, when it actually doesn't. It's just a "dumb" robovac.

Is twice the price of this but Aldi will have the Deebot Neo for $399 on 8/03 which has Lidar and mapping. Well worth having a proper smart robovac IMO

Also buying from Aldi means if you hate it just take it back for refund

Do you know when that is

This was $180 on the weekend. I ended up buying the M7 for $250 and I am very happy with the purchase. Don't know how long it will last though.

    • Midea is a very decent brand.

    • Where did you get that price? $299 on Amazon atm.

    • Wish they bring back the $250 price for that vac, such a good deal.
