    Same as Gooloo 15V DC output. Why???
    This makes it difficult to use with 12V DC devices.

      Not necessarily. Many electronics are quite happy with over-voltage. FWIW, fully charged car batteries put out greater than 12V, approaching 15V if memory serves.

        Nope. Fully charged car battery outputs 13.8V max.
        If your alternator output is greater than 14V it is recommended to check your alternators voltage regulator.

        My pump I was going to use with portable battery got over-voltage protection tripped at 14.5V.
        Fully charged Gooloo blasts above 16V into 15V output.

        Other than that - Gooloo is a great jump starter.

          @SickDmith: Thanks. I think I meant to type 14V. Good that you had over-voltage protection. Suck it and see is a risky strategy. Having to buy a voltage convertor though doesn't automatically rule this unit out of consideration though.
