Some good discounts on Focal B-Stock headphones at Addicted to Audio.

Was waiting for the Radiance to drop in price to $1199 from when they had their Black Friday sales last year, but this B-Stock at $999 was too good to pass up.

Link to individual items including the regular non B-Stock product pages for comparison:

pardon my ignorance, but what's b-stock? looks like good deals and i'll be tempted by the radiance as well

I think it depends on the store itself, but in a previous post the rep mentioned theirs were just open box units: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/529063

But B-Stock could also extend to things like small blemishes, or possible returned items? Just the stock the store can't sell as "new".

    • Received my B-stock Elegias yesterday. Could not tell they'd been opened, in fact they even smelt new.
      Sound is chef's kiss

      • called Addicted Audio about the Clear and was told carton damage only. Received the unit this week and other than a din on the carton (not the actual product box), the thing is brand new. Highly recommended at this price!

Good price, but A-Stock on most of these headphones have dropped to less than the B-Stock price before.

For example, the Celestee A-Stock was available for $650 earlier this year. If you're not in a rush, worth waiting for those prices on the A-Stock again tbh.

    • The Celestee is the only one that’s been cheaper with A stock, all the rest are all time lows

  • A stock of Clear ever been $800?

Never seen them cheaper than $999 and that was only once or twice.

    • No, dropped to $1199 around Black Friday last year, then down to $999 2 weeks later (and yep, I bought at $1199). Think they've stayed at similar price at AtoA ever since.

https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/s8wo4x/why_foca… Just a reminder that focal headbands are extremely low quality and focal refuses to warranty them

    • Exactly why I would not invest in these headphones, no resale value as well.

Crazy thread. I keep them on a headphone stand and have been using them for last 2 years, I cannot imagine how you'd need to mistreat it to break headband like that, insane

  • should I upgrade from Sundaras to Clears?

Is it really worth it or is sweetspot sundara for value/performance?

    • Depends on your needs. Assuming you want quality imaging, this Clear is an interesting choice versus the HIFIMAN Edition XS, with the Sundaras being way back in the distance.

If it's more about dynamics, resolution, timbre, and tonality, then you're going to be more interested in the 6XX against the Clear, with the Sundara offering some positives though arguably a bit sharp in the treble.

jasswolf is a fan of HIFIMAN Edition XS :)

very happy with the last gen of Utopia Headphone which i got it as a B-Stock from them a few years ago. it was 99% like a brand new one and I feel much better than Sennheiser HD800s or HD820.

Also wait for discount on Bathy wireless headphones.

    • Was it a big discount? Lowest I've seen for Utopia OG seems to be $3499.

      • i think it is ok. the RRP is $6999.

    • Agreed. Listened to HD800 and Focals and Focals were no brainer
