    Free cheese?

    • Ohh sry dude I have never used it before, i have another vpn and just bought this for backup

Im a former pureVPN user, actually this was the first paid VPN I have ever used - bought a "lifetime" subscription (which actually was 5 year lol). It was total crap - speed was ridiclously slow, so much that I assumed all VPN's were slowing your internet to sh*t and not really work most of the times. For example Netflix or any streaming service was impossible to watch with PureVPN on. Basically I was using it only to navigate websites when I needed to change my geolocation, like torrent websites etc.. until I tried NordVPN and realised how crap PurtVPN was.

Guys do not waste a cent on PureVPN

      • I'll second that. Even my free Windscribe subscription works better than PureVPN. Totally waste of time!

I bought the "lifetime" sub. I resubbed couple years ago again when it was on sale.
I haven't had a problem, full speed iso's when available

  • This don't include GST right?

    • +1

GST is not included in the cashback ..
You might end up paying around $3-4 as GST ..

      • So … not 100% cashback then?

We know the GST rate, so tell us the real percentage of cashback!

        • It says in the title (excluding gst)

        • +1

there's no gst but currency exchange loss because paying in USD and cashback in AUD

    • The $23 price is in USD, so I doubt there would be GST.

    • 100% cashback no gst confirmed

Turkey is not listed as their VPN server

    • nah i can find turkey in their app

      • Please confirm if it does have India / Pakistan?

        • India yes, Pakistan no

          • @RADISHYUEN: Dedicated for India or Virtual? Thanks

            • @nzthunderboy: i cant confirm but i guess there's no brand can provide real India server because of the law so it should be virtual

  • I've used pure before, it's not the greatest 😅. But it's free sooooooo

    • -1

Yep just give both shopback and pure your data to leak

  • I joined their 5 yr plan and few years ago during their black Friday sale. not the best but it's cheap and it works mostly..

  • Anyone tried it in China recently? does it work?

  • +2

@gotyourback can you confirm that the cashback does not include GST? Title should changed to 90% cashback then otherwise it is misleading

Edit: How do you tag people in Ozbargain?

    • no GST confirmed, received A$35.33 cashback tracking

      • have you received the cashback and are able to withdraw as well? I received $35.33 cashback same as you but it's telling me the status as pending and I am not able to withdraw the amount.

        • +1

basically you have to wait for a month or more to withdraw, because the shopback have to confirm you didn't get a refund from the merchant

  • wonder if netflix works

  • Looking for an alternative of NordVPN. They don't have Indian servers in Singapore or any other country. Does this have that option?

    • +1

Get Surfshark or Getflix smart dns - have them both - works flawlessly with all Indian streaming services( if that’s what you are after).

  • What do y'all typically use VPN for?

    • same question

      • +2

Why do you need VPN to ask same question?

    • +1

Most common uses are Bypass country restrictions, download Torrents, use public wifi hotspots with peace of mind

      • Do you need VPN to download torrent?

        • +1

you don't technically "need" VPN to download torrents, but it's advisable to use it and hide your IP to avoid breach letters from your ISP

    • I mainly use it to connect to streaming websites from other countries, such as UK's BBC or Italy's RaiPlay
Another use is for accessing Netflix libraries from different countries.
Or to subscribe to services in other countries where that service may be cheaper (Youtube Premium, Mubi, Spotify, Netflix etc)

Current PureVPN user and won't recommend. For Melbourne and Sydney servers it would frequently disconnect saying they change the server as it's not stable.
Good luck if you want P2P.

Speeds are crap dont bother! Usually get 225Mbps on 4G/5G connections but wont go higher than 140Mbps

    • That's not a valid point to neg a deal lol

      What vpn do you use/recommend

    • -1

I don't think you understand the meaning of crap speed when using a VPN, they would all be crap according to you

  • Would recommend PIA VPN over this Pure VPN as it goes usually up to 200Mbps.
Will ask for a refund on this Pure VPN for money back guarantee.

  • Supports wireguard on router which is a plus.
