    when in the last forever has this cpu been even close to $500? this is not a bargain, can be had cheaper at several IT stores, including CA which is even in the related stories. Neg.

    its been $260~ on Amazon since early December.

    Not a bargain at all.

    5600 for $209 from Amazon AU, much better deal. 5700X for $309 also from Amazon.

    Big not worth, Might as well get the 5600 or the 5700x as people have mentioned before. The 5600 is only a few percent behind in benchmarks and performance but for a lot cheaper.

    Agree from above, get 5600, 12400f or 5700x instead. Especially 5600x can be purchased below $259 most of the time. Sometimes even with free game.

    I wonder if OP is confusing this with the 5800X3D. $260ish seems to be the going rate on the 5600X, this isn’t especially cheap.
