I bought two recently - we've had a few powercuts recently, so they'll come in handy next time we have one during the evening.
Ordered one of these yesterday. Also unsure as to what I'll use it for.
It can be used as a camp light. For children's school trips. For blackout situations. For long-term storage, it is better to keep the battery out or unscrew the bottom part a little to disconnect the connections. That should keep the batteries topped up for a long time.
This is the best price I have seen for the LT1S. I still don't have a use case for it but tempting.

For those people wondering why to buy one, here are what I use mine for; camping, hang it up in the tent, big or small tent the batteries will keep it going for hours over several days, no recharge needed. On a picnic table while camping and cooking dinner, sit it on a tin can and it casts light over the whole table.
Picnics, creates a nice atmosphere sitting on a picnic rug especially the warm white.
When the kids have a sleepover party, it's a fantastic mood light while they play, then a great night light while they sleep.
LTS1 is great, I use mine when I'm on the verandah relaxing in the evenings and if you like to go hiking it can be useful to have one hanging off your backpack.
I gifted one to a mate and he uses it when he's working on his car and loves it too.

I'd recommend the 4000K variant. It's great to have attached to a backpack shoulder strap or sling.
The lantern is overpriced junk.

It's actually a quality build with some nice features like directional LEDs, red and white light, ramping, power bank function, onboard charging, stable base. At this price it's a bargain. Battery alone is ~$15-20 worth.

Do it. I’m reading this in the warm glow of an LT1 one right now, and I love it. It’s my bedside table light, outdoor table light, and more.
I assume this is just the LT1, but with less battery?
