Think it was 50% off last week, but still ok price, definitely not worth the rrp

Lol good oil but $45 na not for 5L. you should hand your Ozbadge for buying it at this price

autobarn had GW 10w 40 5L for like $19 mid feb till tomorrow, (they should have some cheaper on in next catalogue soon i think better buy that around $15-$25 instead of $45 on this)

Which makes sense if you're a clown who uses 10w 40W for a 5w-30 vehicle.

Not all cars need 5W30, those that require should use 5W30 or 5W 40.

But for those older cars just chuck in anything like 5W to 15W, and 30-40, so effectively anything in that range for older cars that aren't really budging on specific oil requirements, just get cheaper good quality oil.

where are all the $20ish dollar engine oil these days? Those days are gone?

    • Last year Autobarn had some 5w30 and in Jan there was an eBay code for sparesbox, both around $25.
10w40 can still be found for $20 but I'm trying to find 5w30 ford 913 spec for cheap and it's proving difficult.

Yeah you might need to write a letter to Dr Philip lowe to find that answer

  • Pls be aware of, it's a SL oil, for old cars. The new cars should use SN.

    • How new is new?

    • Technically yes but Castrol still recommends this as the preferred oil for most new cars even though it's SL

Some how they just CBF changing the formula above SL
