This looks like a good deal if you want a blower - the batteries and charger are probably worth it alone

Shame it's not with "Core" batteries, but still a great deal. The 1600A001Z9 batteries are listed most places for $189/ea

I already have a Ryobi leaf blower and got this Bosch blower as part of a set of tools but i actually prefer to use this now. Its easier to use being smaller and lighter and its actually more powerful.

It’s a long running deal but imho still a great deal - i got this one last year for the same price, blower is for workshop so don’t expect the same power from a leaf blower but for blowing saw dust it’s great.

Best part is the 2 5ah batteries - them along is over 300 bucks (blower skin is 160 so that’s basically free), Bosch has 5 years warranty on their batteries so I just bought two adapters for 30 bucks each and use them for my Makita 36v mower - they last longer than the Makita 5ah batteries 😂

    • If it's like my Dewalt one, it'll do a job clearing your pathways.

      • Is that the DCV100?
I have Dewalt and Ryobi batteries and I'm looking for something to blow lawn clippings off the footpath and leaves that get blown into the backyard/pergola area.

        • Yes, and that's exactly what I use mine for.

It has its limitations, like I wouldn't want to be clearing up some power edging work for example, but stray clippings and leaves is fine.

  • Does anyone know if these batteries work with the Bosch Green Range? They say " The BAT621 is compatible with all Bosch 18 V Lithium Ion power tools, radios and more." and the Bosch Green DIY range is 18V, so I'd assume so? But I'd like to be sure before dropping $300 on this..

Bosch green and blue 18V batteries are not interchangeable.

    • I have both, and although I have not tried, the interface looks completely different, which is why I 've not even thought about trying them.

      • Oh, thanks, I've not seen them in person and they looked somewhat similar. It's a shame they're not compatible seems like an oversight/money grab…

can i use this for the lawn?

    • +2

      No need a lawn mower.
I got one not strong for blowing stuff of grass. Mainly for workshop and light dust.

I got this mainly for the batteries.
Blower is pretty good and easily blows dust and light debris from my garage and down the driveway.

  • I got my kit the other day and started charging the batteries today. One is dead out of the box! First time this has happened to me with any battery. The indicator lights don't like up, charger doesn't charge it and tools don't work. The other one is fine. Hopefully there won't be dramas getting it exchanged.
