Picked up the ratcheting screwdriver last time. Nice bit of kit. Anyone have any suggestions on longish but sets for it ?

I paired my 816 RA with this set, but doubt it will ever get that low again.

      • Yeah, that's the one I grabbed as well, it's brilliant

  • what an awesome price, just picked up a similar one last year, and they are super impressive.

Thanks OP, bought this with it to get extra 11% discount.

  • I like these apart from the fact its so small that I end up flicking the ratchet across the room when I'm tightening something

  • Thanks. Didn't really need it….so I bought two!

  • Already bought one last time, saaa-weet bit of gear. Just bought another two for mates. Cheers.

  • got one for myself and another one for me mate bday prezzo. Thanks OP.

  • pulled the trigger along with a knipex 150 cobra

    • I've been eyeing the Knipex 125 /150, but can't justify paying that much haha.

  • My Knipex 78 06 125 ESD snapped a tip of one of the blades while cutting a 0.12mm nickel strip.

Didn't think much of it at the time as I would just buy a new set. Got a nice shock when I saw the current price is approx $45. Probably paid half that a while ago. To rub salt in the wounds the thing I was attempting to fix was worthless.

Not the first German tool I've damaged or snapped. It's actually becoming quite expensive. Oh well, they are tools and not museum pieces.

  • I previously bought the Dewalt set (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/756125) for keeping in the ute.
And the Gearwrench set (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/753971) for keeping in my garage.

Why do I now also want this set? Is tool addiction a thing?

  • Just a silly question, can I use these on Ryobi impact driver?

    • Yep, any impact driver will have the correct-sized fitting for any brand of bits (unless something is SUPER weird)

I don't see any info about these being impact rated, I would avoid using them in an impact driver.

I have tried using non impact rated bits (cheap ones from Bunnings) in the impact driver when I was desperate, it just munched the tip of the bit. And I think I had to use pliers to get the bit out of the holder.

These might hold up a bit better than the Craftright did, but they are expensive to be using them in that way. Find some impact rated bits, you can get a set from Bunnings for cheap. They are considered consumables anyway, so start with a cheap set, and you can replace individual bits with better ones as you go through them, and as you learn more about what you want from your bits (length, durability, strength, value)

  • Showing $106.46 for me. Seems Amazon has changed price
