  • Thanks OP! I've had this one in my cart since missing out of the boxing day sale.

  • I heard these are tiny?

    • +5

Yes. That's the point of this kit.

    • Yes… and at first i was a little disappointed… but.. the small size isn't actually a problem.

Used mine yesterday to tighten Socket Head Cap screws in bed frame… 1st time i used the kit….
Bloody hell it has a satisfying ratchet action.

Really very happy, a lot of capability and very premium quality in a small package.
Only thing i could want is one extra, smaller size flat blade driver.

    • yeah the screwdriver handle and ratchet are tiny. useful kit thought, i have this and one of their multi bit screwdrivers

I think the T-handle bit holder is a nice add on to this kit to get buy 2 save 10%

  • Will this fit as bits for my drill? Looking for quality bits for my drill while at it. Thanks.

  • Thanks mate

How big is this kit? Thinking it could be good for my dirtbike and mountain bike tool kit.

    • +4

      Just measured mine - 17.5cm x 8.5cm x 2cm

      • Wow. Thanks for that. Seems like it will do the job well

They do have a designated bicycle kit but it's not included in this promotion: https://www.amazon.com.au/Wera-Bicycle-Set-Piece-Pieces/dp/B…

    • +1

Get the bike kit instead. Has all the common sizes for bike related bits. I.e no extras of non bike related things like security Torx or Pz

  • Any recommended Wera ratchet handle for these bits?

    • The Wera 816 RA Ratchet Screwdriver that's linked in the description.

      • Can you recommend some long bits for the 816 ra?

        • I combined my Wera 816 RA with this set (doubt it will every drop to that low again).

          • @RichardL: I saw this.. $77 for the pair.. hmm

            • @Daves88: Wera also make a set with the Ratchet Screwdriver included - $78.11 Delivered

              • @RichardL: I feel like this is standard price for this set? Can't seem to find on camelcamelcamel

                • @Daves88: More or less standard price for the Ratcheting Set.

                  • @RichardL: I purchased the subject kit and the 816a.. I'll give the bits it comes with a go.. can always purchase long bits later

          • @RichardL: Thats the exact deal combo that sent me down the Wera rabbit hole…

            • @aragornelessar: Same here…started with the $21 Kit then wanted a Ratchet Screwdriver…then added the Tool-Check PLUS, T-Handle, Hex Keys, etc…

              • @RichardL: Lol what else did you endup with?

                • @Daves88: Restrained myself from purchasing anymore Wera Products…for now…

  • Price of the new Zyklops driver set is at an all time low as well!

    Wera 05004281001 8009 Zyklop Pocket Set 2, Ratchet Set, 18 Pieces, black-green $148.25

    • Still seems a bit high to me. I would probably buy it for about half that.

      • how about over $200? lol

  • Are these sockets imperial or metric?

    • If i recalled correctly, these are Metric.

    • metric

      5.5
      6
      7
      8
      10

    • There is an imperial version. It is included in the promotion too.

some reviews said their toolkit started to rust in places when they first went to use them. That's not very German like of them.

    • +1

I wouldn’t be so sure. Now I don’t know if you’re a student of history or not, but it turns out that those crafty Germans have something of a reputation for skullduggery and shenanigans…

  • Sidchrome Nano has 14mm socket and a solid case. Not to be overlooked at this price point.

Electronic superknips are harder than the VDE but neither open up wider than Jaycar alternative

  • Great kit. Use mine all the time.

  • Cheers!

  • Scammed? Ordered from Amazon UK. Weleda baby Calendula bottles arrived. Australia Post label was placed over a label for another customer. Different order inside with a packing slip for the other customers order. Perhaps a sorting error in NSW by Australia Post or Amazon.

    • Talked with Amazon customer service. They asked me to return the first package and generate a label. I asked if I could still get the kit for $80.45. They said to place another order and they'll refund the difference.

Returned the first package and it was refunded shortly after being scanned by Australia Post. Contacted customer service again to refund $40.45 to make it $80.45. They refunded in the form of an Amazon gift card.

All sorted. Strange how mail from Amazon UK intended for a customer in Dubai ended up at third party sorting centre in Chullora NSW with a label for my order.

EDIT: This kit is tiny! I have a small DeWalt ratchet from Costco that fits my hand but the one in this Wera Tool-Check PLUS kit can only be held with my thumb and 2 fingers.
