[PS4] Crysis Remastered Trilogy $19 (Part of 2 Games for $30 Promotion) + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ JB Hi-Fi

370

But can it run Crysis?

Remember back in the days of late 2007/2008 when this phrase was everywhere? Do you have fond memories of your 8800 GT failing miserably to play Crysis at max settings?

I do.

So relive that nostalgia with this remastered trilogy on PS4 that was brought down in price a day ago to $19.

Metacritic: 73

Delivery and C&C options seem to be all over the place at JB Hifi, depending on where your address is. You'll need to try it out yourself. Best thing to do would be to simply buy it instore.

This trilogy never had a lot of physical copies made so pick it up while you can.

      • A long-term 3 Camels alert.

  • any deals on PC version?

I first played it on 9500GT and recently played thr original version a half way again lol

    • I can hook you up with a pc one but not remastered.

Pretty much all pc games since drm killed everything dont' get a physical release anymore sadly.

About what it’s worth. Metacritic score of 70% is about it right too. I can’t speak to the nostalgia value, but I tried these as part of game pass and I don’t think they hold up.

    • I tried them as part of PS+ and felt the same. They still look alright but the controls were woeful.

    • Hi are you insane? I suppose most people have no idea this is a landmark title

I’m not insane, and calling people names isn’t polite. I’ve played a ton of games and these are clunky by todays standards. Outside the historical and nostalgia value they aren’t worth a revisit. If you enjoyed them the first time around, I’m happy for you. But anybody expecting this to be anything like a modern game is going to be disappointed. I found them boarderline unplayable and kinda boring.

Also, i said it thought they were worth $20 and deserved their meta score of 70ish percent. Given that is what it costs and that is how it rated, I don’t know why you are having a conniption.

Space invaders was is a landmark title too, and it doesn’t stand up. Galaga does though.

        • Compared to what though? Stating that it isn't like a modern game sounds more like a compliment than anything else

People here neg just about anything. Its your personal opinion which is completely reasonable. Don't feel like personal opinions are allowed anymore in society.

  • I recall digital foundry tearing this one apart?

    • That was focused on the remaster of the first game I think, compared to the back-compat Xbox 360 version.

    • +1

Yep. They based the remasters on the XBox 360 version, which was a cut down version of the PC version, and they then tried to scale up from there. Should have taken the PC version and added in console features that were missing from the PC version. Remaster came with bugs at release, that has been patched to improve stabiliy and performance, while also adding in some graphical features.

Plotline went off the rails after the first, though I guess they were never really about plot, more like fancy tech demos.

I remember being stoked to get it running on medium lol

If you haven’t jailbroken your ps4 and playing this from a Fpkg then your not a true ozbargainer. Free is the cheapest you will ever get.

  • No stock in Qld.

  • Can it run crisis?

FYI while the xbox version isn't on the website if you manage to find it in store it's not part of the 2 for 30 😭

  • A couple of others from the 2 for $30 that caught my eye:
