My good old Anker SoundCore finally bit the bullet and now showering isn't fun anymore.

Was looking at some Waterproof speakers and saw the Flex. 3Camel reports lowest price was $195 Nov last year.

3 colors available w/ the same price.

EDIT and Personal Experience:

Happy to report that using the Android app and connecting worked out smoothly. Very good mids and out of the box config :)
Glad I got the White Smoke one because the material used, albeit of high quality, will attract Dust for sure.
Very solid build, great mids and not too bassy but has weight.
Design Win: When turning on, it notifies you of battery life and which device it is connected to.
Design Nitpick: I was hoping the fabric loop can be hidden or detached.
HAVE NOT TESTED IN THE SHOWER YET

    Why do you take it into the shower? Surely on the sink top or hamper etc would make it last longer?

    I have an ipod classic in a dock that's been on the bathroom shelf for 12 years and still going strong.

      FWIW, it was purchased from 2016 and an IPX7 Speaker and was mostly hanging on the shower head, lol.

    This is great for making or receiving phone calls in the shower. Somehow it seems to cut through all your background noise to deliver crystal-clear audio to the other end

    Bose soundlink - nah not again.
    I didn't have this same model , but on going connectivity via the app on Android was painful. I regret buying 2 x purposefully for the stereo mode.
    'party mode" meant both speakers disconnecting and then 5 minutes off faffing. More like funeral mode.
    Buyer beware!

      My limited list boiled down to 3 but ultimately went with Bose this time around just because of the out of the box quality without the need for too much fiddling. The Flex does not have any equaliser (AFAIK) so fiddling around with an app is not an issue to me. I just wished it has Bluetooth 5

      1) JBL Charge 5 ($169)
      2) Anker Soundcore Motion Plus ($179)
      3) Bose SoundLink Flex ($176)

      Pricing for these 3 are almost identical at the time of this post

    For its size is hard to beat the quality.

        Interesting! Normally Amazon has a lot of Flex drivers (VIC).

      Don't have experience with the Mini II but if comparing by paper specs- I'll stick with the Flex due to added ruggedness. I think the Mini II is a different product bracket anyways.

      The close competition will be the JBL Charge 5 and Anker Soundcore Motion Plus, atleast in terms of availability in Amazon. Cheers
