How long do these last? If I owned a restaurant I'd buy a hundred of them for the expensive burger bar vibe.

  • Avoid. Mobile application is so buggy.

Use Tuya Smart with these bulbs (apps for Arlec, Lenovo, Kogan etc are all under the hood Tuya anyway). tuya is a great app, and the platform integrates with Google home very good. Create automations, scenes …. If I haven’t has enough spares, I would have jumped the gun already for this deal.

  • Lenovo bulbs were horrendous to pair in my experience. And I'm IT savvy with a full Home Assistant setup and engineering/computer science degree. Needed an old iPhone to set it up and get the firmware updates to Tuya compatible firmware. iPad, Android phones and tablets would NOT work. Used an old iPhone SE in the end. Avoid!

My experience was the opposite. I picked up a couple of bulbs in this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/746611 and had no issues at all pairing with the Tuya app on Android.

    • I second what @julz said. Tuya doesn’t seem to play nice with my Orbi mesh system, I tried three different bulbs that use it and just couldn’t get them to pair. I suspect Tuya has trouble with mesh systems that broadcast a single SSID for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, and can’t negotiate an appropriate band to use. I switched to TP-Link Tapo and had no problems at all - instant connection and full manageability in what I feel is a superior interface.

  • The cheapest within 200km is $0 for bestest saving.

  • 404 error now on the page - this one is dead.
