    thanks for sharing

sad they dont make these in my small feet size. These look crazy awesome

  • are they waterproof

    • +1

I think Gore-Tex is a waterproof material, but I am uncertain whether the design is waterproof or not.

    • Yes, Gore-tex is a water resistant material

    • Pretty much. I have a different Salomon Gore-tex model and it stays dry walking through puddles and things. The shoe tongue is watertight too so the only water that should enter is coming from the main hole.

Obviously if you get a deep enough cut or damage in the material it would allow water in..

  • Wish my feet were bigger.

You know what they say about people with big feet…

        Big socks

        • think he meant something that rhymes with "socks"

Another day, another Salomon Anaconda deal. Worth keeping an eye on comments from previous deals, these go on sale fairly regularly and I don't think my pair are worth much more than this price.

  • +3

If you want to bump up to the free shipping level and avoid the $7 or $8 shipping fee, then add a small item.

I added $9.99 beeswax for treating leather shoes, belts, collar ;).

The final price was $90.99, but still qualified for free shipping. It's calculated on the pre-coupon price.

This brand seems to go on sale a lot. Also found this in 10.5 at $46 with coupon:

Salomon, one of the best hiking shoes out there!

  • +1

grabbed a pair, normally my big hoofs are not good for deals!
dont do a lot of hiking but looking forward to dry feet this winter at the footy grounds

Double check sizes as Salomon has their own sizing. So confirm in "size guide". Bought US 11, in their sizing it's 10.5 UK not 10 for example.

  • Size 12 left only ( unless more stock is added)

    • +10

      Outrageous! Surely if there's a size 12 left, there's a size 12 right?

      • Nope stolen by the one legged cleaner

    • :) Bought the size 12

  • If you can stretch your budget, Keens often discount hiking boots on Amazon, and sell it in half sizes too. Much better deal.

    • +1

Escape2 sometimes has Keen’s boots for $50 in their sample section at the DFOs. It is size 7 women’s, I think the men’s are size 10.

      • Escape2 and most of the hiking shops don't or rarely stock half sizes.

Often the brick and mortars will price Keens for $250-$300 and yet not stock half sizes, which isn't fair for the price

Salomon Lyngen in size 10.5 for $56

I have a pair of these, surprisingly dry and comfy for the price but they're narrow so I had to go up a couple of sizes…

    • No stock

    • +1

You sure you ain't a 2E width? Not good to have lots of space in the toe area when going downhill and foot sliding around

      • +1

They're small overall but particularly narrow… I'm usually a euro 46, I had to go to a 48 with these and they're a snug fit, length is ok…

        • +1

I only recently discovered I was 2E and pushing 40. So I have some groundwork to make up for the fact I've been wearing the wrong shoes all my life 🥴

  • +3

I always buy the men's wide version of salomon shoes. I am a female. Everytime they are delivered I check I was sent the wide as they are so narrow. Pity actual men with a wider foot.
Their boots are very supportive in the arch and have plenty of traction.

For those too lazy to open a new account like me BIRTHDAY10 also works

  • I am a size 12 :)

I tried to buy 2 of these - cart would only let me add one. So I assumed it was last one only bought the one.

I went back in to deal after I ordered, and I see I can buy another in a separate order..

Makes me wonder if my deal will be completed.or if there's just a limit of1 per order.

    • I would say there’s a limit

      • then why limit a clearance? doesn't make sense.

        • +1

I assume, to share the love and make it hard for people to buy in bulk to resell on eBay or the likes…

          • +1

@FLICKIT: Well mine now says its dispatched. If i get 1 ill be ecstatic!

          • +1

@FLICKIT: Which is 100% needed in this greedy world.

  • OOS

  • Huh..

I was one of the first to buy last night/this morning. Stock in every size except for 9.

But they still cancelled my order..

    • +1

That often happens with Anaconda, I don't think their stock tracking is live…. I was lucky they had my size at my local store, C&C, picked them up earlier…

      • Luckyyyy you. I'm devo because these are the only "hiking" shoes that I've come across that I think look tolerable, and from these other comments about how lighweight they are and the water properties of the goretex was a bonus. Really devo.. 😪

        • +1

I also have a pair of the Salomon Lyngen, surprisingly their Gortex and waterproofness is real good for a cheap boot… Multiday hikes I still use pricey leather-Gortex Scarpas, but these lightweight cheapies are damn good for the price and perfect for casual use and day walks… (The rubber on the Lyngen soles has chipped a bit at the edges of the tread so I don't think I'd trust them for hardcore-multiday)

Click the link again. Size 9 showing only size available now.

  • Got a refund

  • +1

These are decent, the grip on the soles is so good I actually struggle to drive in them. Bargain at this price

  • I love my Lowas but they are expensive. $250-$500, how do these compare to Lowa?
