  • The battery condition is between good to excellent overall.

    So 80% or above?

  • What edition of Windows do these get shipped with?

    • It’s listed against every device.

      • +4

The version is listed (10 or 11), but the edition isn't in here nor are they in the linked pages (Home, Pro, Education, etc).

          Ah, gotcha, sorry.

        • +4

Hi, All of them will have Pro version.

  • +3

I would just mentally budget an extra $80 to do my own battery replacement. But then I would only be looking seriously at Intel 8th gen or later.

  • Can anyone guide which laptop to get? Some basic web browsing and home office (excel) related work. Thanks.

    • +2

The $199 one in the main link will be OK for this. It will be a bit happier with 16gb of ram, which can be added as an option for $100 (along with a 256gb SSD).
If you are at all able, I would suggest trying it as is, and upgrading yourself if it isn’t adequate.

From the OP's list, I would get the T480.

I'd get an an 8th gen i5 model for W11 compatibility. Many here would also advocate for 16gb, but tbh I get away with 8gb for a heavier workload than yours.

Another consideration is that USB-C charging protocols may have stabilised over time. I've now had two 7th gen machines die on me where the fault was with being able to draw power through the USB.

  • what does "physical condition: Grade C" mean

    • Check the FAQ on the site.

      • Just wanted to let everyone know that most of the laptops have physical condition between B and C.

      • This is actually a pretty transparent grading scale. Condition C on this scale is probably not as bad as it sounds. I have bought A-graded stuff from other vendors that should probably rank as C according to a reasonable interpretation of these guys' scale.

  • Which one would be ok for gaming? Mid spec or something.. Thanks

We will be listing some gaig laptops tomorrow. Will send you the links after posting.

    Laptop condition Grade: C

Can you elaborate more? What does it mean?
Any defects or imperfections? Any real photos with those laptops?

Some other sellers provide real photos for their refurbished products, unless the grade is A or Excellent

  • @Skymstr thank you OP. I picked HP Elitebook 820 up. But I am still waiting to receive the email confirmation.

    • Hi, team meber down with covid so was not able to manually acknowledge the order. Will do that tomorrow. Regards.

      • That’s ok. I think I found the email which is in my spam folders.

    • I’ve received my laptop. It’s small and light. All the keys work. I am updating windows to see whether I can install win 11. Quite a clean unit but the only negative is that the power cable is too short.

  • @Skymstr with regards to the T480:
    - What is the battery condition?
    - Does it have a fingerprint scanner?
    - Does it come with the IR version of the camera?
    - Is the keyboard backlit?

    Thank you.
