      https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys/special-buys-sat-25-…

You can usually get the catalogue on a Monday by typing.in the date in the URlL.

But I cannot see the fridge online, which is wierd.

      • All good, photo is good enough for the time being.

      • I think the issue is that it's $599 in some states (SA & WA), but $499 elsewhere (NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC), so they didn't put it on that link as they can't display 2 different prices.

  • Looks like the fridge didnt get impacted by inflation

  • Could get king 75l for around $420 on ebay:
    This

    • Do you own the kings 75l? If so would you recommend?

      • I bought the 60L single compartment. Have only use a fridge so far. Happy with it.

Kings has a no-name compressor. I'm assuming cheap Chinese. The Aldo has a Secop compressor - this is the one to get.

      • I take it Secop compressor are better quality?
I would only be using it for 3 trips a year. Probably 20 days Max. Just as a camping fridge freezer

Secop are better. Though imo what seems to let you down most of the time in these fridges is the control circuitry, the evaporator connections and control panel. These aldi ones appear better quality to what king's are peddling at the moment. I have the old king's 60l that has the danfoss/secop compressor. It's good. I also have a 16 year old 40l Waeco that still runs as good as the day I bought it. Same bdf35 danfoss/secop compressor.

Had a weird no name fridge (5th gear) I bought cheap off gumtree about 5 years ago. Used it as a second fridge before I bought the king's one. Has a secop compressor but the control gear eventually gave out. Though also I think it was low gas probably due to crappy connections to the evaporator. I used to use it just as a 240v beer fridge.

Anyways what I'm trying to say is they don't last forever but a brand name compressor is a good start.

          • @sillyhead: Would the Kings 75L Portable Fridge & Freezer be worth getting for $339.15?
I can get it with the afterpay special and pick it up from the store saving $40 in postage

Looks good but slightly too big for me.
I noticed the latest King's models are not a Secop compressor any more.

    • The premium version Stayzcool fridges have a 5 year warranty and Secop compressors. However outside this price range.

Can vouch for the 45l Stayzcool, it's very stable and pretty thermally efficient.

Not so sure I looked recently and different compressor is the spec for new ones

        'HUAYI compressor'

  • Hmm 3 year warranty and kings is 5 year, although my current aldi fridge is 6 years old and going strong

35kg. Gonna need some help to move it around if you load it withfood and drinks too.

  • Anyone found a cover that fits this fridge?
