bought 3k for me and my gf. 1k max each time. Had to tried 7 times altogether.
    1st time Westpac card worked.
    2nd time CBA card worked.
3rd time Citi main card failed.
4th time Citi supp card failed.
5th time CBA again failed after filling in Netcode - my gf got charged and an invoice via email from Coles for this one, not sure how it's gonna be - either she's bought an extra 1k or they're gonna cancel it.
    6th time Suncorp card failed.
7th time Westpac card again failed - but I got a text from Westpac saying they blocked my card as it was suspicious transaction. I replied Yes to confirm it is genuine. Then I tried again (8th time???) and it wen through.

All were done on Chrome. No igconito. Using 3 emails. Same Address and numbers.
Note Citi and Suncorp cards are issued by NAB and no texts from them regarding block - unlike Westpac.

    • +1

update: sooooo the 5th time above even though it "transaction failed" on the website, we ended up getting the extra 1k….
So ya'all with failed transactions after putting in your netcode will potentially get your extra unwanted giftcards.
Hope someone won't be out of budget this month. Or next.

  • Thanks OP!

My payment went through but I only received the tax invoice, and no gift card yet…

    • Took 26 minutes for mine to come through! Hang in there…..

      • Thanks for the positivity!

        • I got the gift cards abit over an hour after receiving the invoices

  • Commbank cards keep failing at loading the NetCode verification page. Tried uBank debit and went through straight away.

  • How come on the Coles website
under Get 15% Off Apple eGift Cards
    the Shop now button
brings you to giftcardstore.com.au instead ?

    It should be www.giftcards.com.au
stated on the T&C section on the coles website.

    • wow you're right. That's concerning.

    • What does this mean?

    • It’s an error on the Coles website for whoever created the carousel page as I original noticed when finding this deal. It’s definitely supposed to be giftcards.com.au as per the terms and this deal working.

      • So this one is not scam hey?

        • Definitely not, giftcards.com.au is one of the longest running gift card providers out there. They originally sold Coles Myer gift cards for a long time and expanded to partner gift cards in the last few years.

It’s just an error by the coles dev who made the link.

          • @doweyy: yeah agree Coles dev put another website not knowing their own group's website lol someone from Coles here? please alert your dev.

      • They seem to have fixed it now.

  • Ordered 2x $500. Thanks OP

  • All done - 3 x (2x$500) cards - separate names and credit cards. All went through. All ready for iPgone 15 launch. 15% off is the best we'll get I reckon. Thanks to the OP

  • Stupid question, can I buy the gift card, use it to buy an iPhone in store whist trading in my current iPhone? And if my gift card value aren’t enough, will they accept me paying the remaining amount in a different payment methods? Thanks

    • +1

Yes, you can combine multiple payment methods.

    • +1

Gift card is treat as cash, you can pay reminder with other payment.

  • has anyone got the cards yet

    • Someone said they got 2/14. Give it a few hours, their system is getting slammed most likely

    • Got 2 out of 10.

Edit: just got another 2, about 40 mins after the first 2. So looks like they're slowly working through them.

Edit2: have received all 10 now.

    • got 4/5 coming in slowly

  • Just dropped 2K on gift cards wtf. Thinking Mac Mini M2 base with 16GB RAM upgrade and using SSD adapter. What else should I get?

  • -4

I wouldn't get baited into buying these cards. The TCN and ultimate cards went on sale for 15% off multiple times. There is literally 0% discount at Apple stores and you'll still end up paying more. JB will at least price match or give you a deal but Apple won't.

    • +5

Combine with AOC store my friend :)

      M2 Mac mini for $676

      • Yeah, this is good if you’re buying something discounted from AOC

      • Combine with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?

        • +1

Too much American in you, not enough OzBargain

    • Why not? You can also pay subscription as well.
Also, Apple have 2 weeks of no questions ask return.

      • -3

Subscriptions are not really a valid savings with giftcards. If you really wanted to pay a fraction of most subscriptions you'd find a way via VPN or paying via other currencies.

If you haven't opened the item JB or almost every store will take a return 99% of the time.

        • I was just giving out different options dude, relex.
You can also price match at Applestore if major retailer runs sale and you talk nicely.

I pay Mrs Applecare+ using giftcard, and don't metion H&C that is different thing.

I know VPN other country profile methods for Netflix, Disney+ etc. and I also run them for years.

          • @lufee: If you can price match 100% I would go with Apple. From what I've heard it's a hit and miss and Apple does not have a price match policy. I retract my comment if I am proven wrong otherwise.

            • @thousandsuns: Their policy is that they price match up to 10%. iPhone recently released are excluded for a few months.

    • I thought the same too. I was in the checkout ready to buy x2 500 gift cards. Then realise, I’ve always got my Apple products price matched in other retail stores and never in apple.

      • I had Apple customer service price match my MacBook Pro and my iPhone 13 mini.

    • Do you know Apple always price match by just giving them a call?

    • you obviously haven't asked Apple for a price match before…also a discount to streams paid via iTunes

    • I had the same thought why should I buy without discount from apple. I can tell you if you try to do any warranty claim with JBHIFI , it is a shit show. Warranty repairs in QLD (unsure about the rest of the states) are handled by their 3rd party Apple authorised repairer (for most of their producs apparently, some do go direct back to apple) which is really abysmal in terms of quality of work (had a defective macbook pro brand new, send for warranty repairs/assessment, returned in scratches and took them 2 months). Attempting to do warranty/assessment work directly with Apple is useless as JBHIFI won't acknowledge their repair/assessment work and will want you to go through their own repairer again if you attempt any warranty claims. Baffling.

So I have stopped recommending friends/family from buying from JBHIFI unless it is like 30% and above discount (clearance discount which officeworks does sometimes on older product models )

Anyway personal experience only. The extra 10% savings during JBHIFI sales period is not worth the hassle for me anymore moving forward.

      • -1

I suppose that's your own personal experience via how you wished to tackle it. I have a dead iPhone of over 2 yrs and I still took it directly to Apple rather than JB. They sort of looked after me. Not sure why you would go to JB anyways.

      • Exactly. I buy all my Apple stuff directly from Apple!

Some rare times I’ve had a new item fail Apple just replace it on the spot - won’t happen otherwise.

        • -1

Under what grounds are Apple doing something so special for you that no one else will do? If you purchase warranty they will look after you. Whether you buy the product of JB or any other place is irrelevant because warranty is tied to the manufacturer not the seller. That's why they call it Apple care. Don't be misconstrued with your understanding of customer rights and warranty regulations.

          • @thousandsuns: I should have given more context,

Basically there was a defect in my Macbook Pro and Apple was unable to fix it (I was still within my 1 year warranty period and even have apple care) . As I did not buy it directly via Apple , I was told to go back to JBHIFI and process the refund/return. I was given a repair assessment by Apple and told to give this to JBHIFI.

JBHIFI refuse to accept Apple repair assessment note and wanted to send my product to their own 3rd party repairer. I complied as it was their process even though I had a note directly from Apple.

Long story short. JBHIFI took apart my macbook pro, fail to fix the issue, and receive it in a worst condition(deep scratches on the body of the macbook pro) and refuse to process my refund till I inform that I will be reporting to ACCC (all this took about 3-4 months back and forth between Apple and JBHIFI).

That is a long downtime considering I was using my macbook pro for work purposes.

            • @georgegates5: And yes you can invoke your consumer rights , etc… but when you are using something for work daily … the last thing you want is to ping pong between Apple and a retailer just to get this sorted =_= as it is really time consuming.

  • How long is the apple egift card valid for?

    • -1

      It says “while stocks last”

    • +1

      No expirly

    • indefinitely

      • +2

With banks going the way they are better off putting money in Apple credits lol

        • They put money in Apple and Apple put money in the bank. Same consequence.

  • Is there anyway to combine these with a trade in of a Samsung Galaxy S21U?

  • received nothing but 5 invoice. the oldest is 41 mins

    • Also received an email but still waiting

EDIT: got it almost an hour and a half

    • got 6/10。 then nothing for 40 mins.

remaining $2000 has been 90 mins since received tax invoices.

ordered using same email, name, address, credit card

      • received 10 of 10

  • So we could buy from the Apple online store for hardware with these, correct?

    • yes also offline as well

      • What's max cards usable at register though? Good guys burnt me hard by only accepting up to 2 cards per transaction a while back online.

Does Apple online store accept more than 2 cards?

        • +2

You can store them into your Apple ID and use them

        • +1

You can load up your apple account with giftcard, think 4000 was max

        • You can use up to 8 GCs on the Apple website, if you don't want to load them into your Apple ID.

  • My debit card got rejected. Giving up

  • Correct. Just add the cards to your Apple ID balance.

  • Those paying with credit cards, does this count as a cash advance?

    • Hell no

    • +2

nope. This is just like purchasing a standard issue gift card in store.

      • Thanks, can confirm I didn't get charged a cash advance fee either.

  • 80 mins later tax invoice email but no gc 😭

  • I can't seem to check out darn it.

    • I've tried my PC at home with adblock off and another PC literally in another building I have RDP to and it won't work there, the checkout looks busted now.

      • Tried on phone different IP again, got further.

"Transaction Failed, please contact customer service"

        • Finally, same again, with another card (Both Bankwest Master)

          I suspect it's hosted.

  • +2

Pity I have accumulated too much balance of these after doing a refund of an iPhone recently… decided to pass up on this otherwise great deal on Apple gift cards. It's been a long time since I've seen >10% AND an actual discount to face value (vs equivalent in points).
