Thx.Amaysim uses Optus. I have used it for a while, no problems with connection or speed (E burbs, Melbourne). They also offer eSIM.
The interesting thing about roaming is that they have just announced a roaming package to be rolled out on April 5. Hoping it is similar to the one Felix offers.
ATM the Amaysim website actually suggests that you do not do global roaming at all, and set up a local SIM card or global SIM/eSIM before you leave

Can you receive sms when travelling without roaming ?
Yep, been doing it for the last 2 trips. Just make sure you turn off data roaming
They're changing their rules and don't mention anything bout roaming without a pack so I don't know..
I hope you can still get incoming SMS or I'm going to have to change before I travel next month :/

I'm so tempted to get this offer, I was looking at their $180 plan with 200gb and then sim slut for extra data on a second sim (boost or whatever) but if I can successfully implement this.. it might be worth the effort and extra savings.

Hopefully a silly question, but i have an existing Amaysim log-in (ported out prior) but I'm buying a sim for my parents, can I add it to my existing log-in account so i dont need to maintain extra log-in/email accounts?
If so, this wont impact the details being mixed up when I activate/port in once the sim card is received?Can do. I have just this arrangement for a family member
