Do not want to offend anyone, but my sense of the beautiful is a bit offended. POC do look very square, a bit like hockey helmets…
For beautiful road ones have a look at Kask Protone (there is a newer mdel as well) or MET Manta. Yes, I do know that POC makes sleeker Omne but it is still looks a bit cut with an axe. Actually, most road aero helmets look nicer than POC. It is like olives or really fat girls, a bit of an acquired taste with POC.
I lowkey think the abus gamechanger is the best helmet, kask protone looks a bit generic and there's nothing worse than seeing someone's balding hair through it.

i just go to woolies kmart or anaconda ….helmets are made to australian standards , and just tend to buy light coloured for visibility and safety …. none of them look cool or look like they make me go faster ……. all made from foam and plastic and i can’t see how they justify some of the prices compared to $30 ones ….plastic shell and foam …..difference might be how many $200 do you sell vs $30 ones ….
You're right that any helmet sold in Australia will meet minimum Australian safety standards, and for a basic commuter on a bike, you're right, but there's definitely a difference between a $200 to a $30 helmet. The $200 will probably be lighter, sleaker, will have further safety functions such as MIPS, and be designed for different types of impacts. MIPS will help more in a faster accident where you're more prone to sliding on the pavement. They will also vent better, so for prolonged rides you won't get a hot head. They will last longer, and typically more high end helmets will have a crash replacement scheme so you don't have to pay full RRP for your replacement if you do need to use it.
Looks pretty good imo, it is a cheap price for a full face as well from a reputable brand.

I'm sorry but the road cycling helmets look so ugly from POC, their bulky design does not do it for me.
I have an older POC helmet, makes me look like a mushroom when I wear it.
I'm used to paying high prices for mountain bike gear but $280 RRP for shorts are you bloody kidding me
