I saw this promoted the other day and thought this promotion was a bit strange. What's with the secrecy?

    So if I get:

    • 2 complimentary desserts upon your next visit
    • Free bottle of house wine upon your next visit.
    • Complimentary main meal upon your next visit

I'd have to eat there and then eat a second time to get the promotion?

What if people don't drink wine?

It just seems with the secrecy that you may be letting a lot of people down. People will hope for the free bill or 50% off, then get a coupon for use at a future visit only after dining there once. Good deal if you are going to eat there anyway but not so sure for enticing new people.

  • What are the odds that majority of those vouchers will be 2 free desserts or a bottle of wine NEXT time you dine in?

    • I'll say.. extremely high.

  • Not exactly the best restaurants in the Docklands either. For the lunch crowd at least, New Quay is too far and overpriced.

    • Costco pizza and bulgogi for the lunch crowd ;)

James Squire is good. Want to try Churrascaria Grill. Perhaps rivers can offer OzBargain members some of those discounts?

  • As a trade promotion lottery your terms an conditions must include the details and values of all prizes. How many of each are available?

  • not a bargain - it is a competition / game of chance
you don't know the value of your voucher until you've eaten and are paying

  • It may not actually be that bad, just poor wording. Some clarification would be good.

If I haven't been yet, I take my next visit to be my first one. But if it is indeed "buy a meal and get a voucher for a free one next time" then it would be disappointing.

  • Seriously who thinks up this crap, and thinks its a good idea?

  • Was about to go for this deal but its ridiculous, if you get the deal anyway why not just let your customers see what they receive immediately? As mentioned before this makes this deal sound like its going to be 99% get a voucher for a free one NEXT time… if I knew this beforehand it would be a better deal because I could decide whether or not I wanted to go there twice… anyway not worth it IMO, you're better off using groupon or something similar

  • The surprise offer can only be revealed in the restaurant!

There’s a series of discounts available- It could be any one of the following:

You would have to be an idiot to fall for this publicity stunt. No one will get the top prize, there are no details at all about how many on offer. The process you need to follow to get a crappy reward is outrageous.

  • received my voucher today… it's a "50% off your total food bill" when I checked it under the light, expected to grab a "Your entire food bill will be complimentary" :(
