  • I use a laptop stand but would never think. You know whats missing a stand for the mouse.

The point of these stand is to elevate the laptop as usually the screen it connects to is higher so it causes eye and neck strain.

    • Someone who uses the laptop keyboard while its on this stand would probably also prefer the mouse up at the same height. i.e. People standing up. But if you use it just to raise the screen to eye level and use a separate keyboard you don't have to use or even fit the mouse stand.

I've had the more expensive one of this they sell with two cooling fans fitted underneath. Bought it several ago and back then you could buy it with or without the mouse stand for about $4 difference I think.

At least a couple of the plastic end pieces on mine have cracks. Not sure why. Maybe due to shrinkage over time.

      • I suppose if you use it like that but i sure hope it can bear the weight of someone resting their hand on it.

        • Yeah we're not supposed to place the weight of our hand/arm down on the surface when using a mouse. Most people do though including me. It's supposed to be only our hand on the mouse, wrist and arm hovering off the surface.

I haven't seen the mouse add-on of these but it looks the same size as a common mouse pad which means it's probably too small to do that anyway because our hand would be in the way of moving the mouse.

  • I went with one from Amazon, big cut out in the middle to keep cool

    • Is it same price?

      • hell no! $30

        • Kogan used to sell the one with fans that was about $27 too. Maybe they still do.

          • @[Deactivated]: I'm happy with passive - the hole on my one is perfect for Dell 7480 fan/vent

  • Thanks op just bought one

  • This is a clunky laptop stand.

    It's very big

    I prefer smaller ones.

    • Have you got this stand?

  • I have this stand, I use my laptop screen as kind of a second monitor and the stuff that stays on my desk in the space under it. I have a 2.5kg laptop and I include a underside cooler mat (one with fans) so it's relatively sturdy. Do keep in mind, the stand is a bit chonky but its not that noticable if most of the legs are in the air.
