AMD comes with The Last of Us Part 1 via redemption

    https://www.amd.com/en/gaming/last-of-us-bundle

    • +1

Even though its through eBay can it still be redeemed?

      • Yes its same as buying from the shop

      • +2

I gave scorptec a call just to be sure and they said yes you still get the game if you purchase through ebay. They also said to contact them in case the code wasn't received 👍

    • Probably a dumb question, I've got the code from Scorptec on Ebay and don't know what to do with it. There doesn't seem to be a code option at the checkout for the game in Steam

  • +9

Geez the 6700XT is so underrated at this price $540! A worthy stop gap if you cant afford the latest and greatest!

  • +1

Cheapest price Ive seen on Arc a750, love that card

  • +3

    Record low for reference A770

Whats stopping me from pulling the trigger?????Someone stop me before I place the order.

    • Previously it has been around $450.

      • For the reference card? I remember seeing some cheap AIB A770s but they only have 8GB VRAM

        • +1

This is the lowest I've seen for the 16GB, at least

  • So many good prices now I'm confused. Asus 3060 or Sapphire 6700?

    • +2

6700 beats the 3060 in rasterisation. I’d get the 6700 unless you need NVIDIA Raytracing, DLSS and RTX, voice, etc.

    • Pure gamer - 6700, dabble in machine learning/AI - 3060
3060 will hold value better with the 12GB and CUDA AI support

      • +2

If value you mean usability in future, 12GB won't be really utilised by the performance a 3060 has.

Post reverted to list all cards

@alvian - for once in your modding career, apply some common sense and discrection. @RichardL vetted the deal 5 minutes after it went live and there were no issues with the quantities because it's an assorted deal with retailers adjusting quantities in real time

    • retailers adjusting quantities in real time

These histories do not support your claim:

Only these two have evidence of dynamic stock adjustment:

Your post has been edited to allow for these two products, even though our guidelines stated that the minimum quantity is determined at the time of post submission and not on a continous basis. We will continue to uphold our minimum quantity guidelines regardless of your personal views and protestations.

      • -3

These histories do not support your claim:

The items with no changes in history have not had any sales so there is nothing to adjust yet

Your post has been edited to allow for these two products, even though our guidelines stated that the minimum quantity is determined at the time of post submission and not on a continous (sic) basis. We will continue to uphold our minimum quantity guidelines regardless of your personal views and protestations.

Noted. We will continue to post exceptional deals benefiting the community who you ultimately serve. If you wish to continue applying a lowly level of common sense and discretion in your moderation - ultimately hurting the community that you serve - that is on you

        • People here do not want to see "deals" which don't have usable levels of stock. No one cares about your personal vendetta with the mods, if you care enough then just stop posting the deals.

          • -2

            @chrismheath: You are ill informed

"People here do not want to see "deals" which don't have usable levels of stock."

The mods already recognisethere is an issue with the current quantity rule. Alvian himself has proposed a sliding quantity based on product value`

None of the cards in the deal have gone out of stock after 5+ hours even though only 2 had 10+ units starting stock

Every card listed had and still has a "usable level of stock"

"No one cares about your personal vendetta with the mods"

There is no personal vendetta. Alvian just happens to be the mod with the strictest interpretation of the rules and is being challenged. Many others have had deals taken down/merged but only mention it in passing in other deals

If you believe a volunteer challenging a paid employee is a "personal vendetta", you are soft

If every user on OzB was like yourself - 9+ years, never posted a deal and mouthing off from the sidelines - the community would never progress

"if you care enough then just stop posting the deals."

Only someone like yourself with a selfish mindset would propose that option. The deals posted here are to benefit everyone not just on OzB, but also those who see the deals on Twitter and Reddit

            Thanks for your participation

@Look Up: I can see the problem with the minimum quantity for small retailers selling high value items, per your link, but it seems like a bit of a nightmare to moderate whether stock is genuinely limited or is being manipulated to take advantage of FOMO.
On the other hand, the deals are useful, so I dunno. Ideally we would just make them stop doing it lol.
And speaking of benefitting the community, it would improve my experience if you stopped using monospaced fonts in your comments, which needlessly takes up extra space with its wider glyphs and line spacing. :)

              • -2

@Diji: Overselling on eBay is problematic for retailers because issuing refunds causes both financial and negative feedback issues
The 3x reputable sellers in this deal - Scorptec, JW and Computer Alliance - cap some of the products to 5 units to ensure they are selling stock their distributors can actually supply
Fonts are rendered client side, you are welcome to adjust your monospace font to suit your own particular needs

                • +1

                  @Look Up:

Fonts are rendered client side, you are welcome to adjust your monospace font to suit your own particular needs

I'd rather not change monospace fonts globally or even sitewide, since there are places where they're actually useful (though it's definitely not in your comments)! Maybe you can write me a script that detects when it's a comment by your account and makes renders them in a regular font.

        • For your reference: Stock for Intel Arc A750 was reduced from 4 to 0 with none 3 sold.

Disclosure of comment edit: removed Moderator flag, changed link to correct product, corrected sales history from none to 3 sold.

          • @alvian: Alvian - are you OK?

            1. Your link points to item 265197069459 which is the "NEW OXO Good Grips Garlic Slicer"

            2. As of this post:

            * 3 units of the Intel Arc A750 8GB - Scorptec - $353.60 cards have sold since the sale started
            * Scorptec have also adjusted the quantity level 6 times with the product currently out of stock
            * All other products listed in the deal have been and are in stock, available to buy

            3. As you locked the editing of this post since yesterday, it has prevented highly relevant updates such as thisand thisto be made

So far, every decision and action you have taken on this deal has been to the detriment of the community

This deal will be tracked till completion and once over, the next course of action to be decided

            • +1

@Look Up: Thank you for pointing out the wrong link to Intel Arc A750 sales history. I blame the browser's auto-complete and so I checked the wrong product. I also forgot to turn off the Moderator flag. These mistakes have been corrected and the edit history disclosed. Comments without Moderator flag are my own views and their contents do not represent the positions and views of OzBargain.

The point I wish to make in linking to the sales history of Intel Arc A750 is to respond to your comment that

retailers adjusting quantities in real time

I told you before that the limited quantity guideline is applied (or estimated) at the time of post submission and not on a continuous basis. Your argument that some retailers drip feed stock to eBay, and that there are in fact sufficient stock on hand is reasonable on a consumer level, but it is near impossible to implement on the moderation level. Without access to the retailers' inventories, we will have to continuously monitor all eBay transactions and stock level updates, and calculate how many units may have been available. It may be possible to set up a server to scrape eBay statistics, calculate, and then move eBay posts to the forum, but we do not have this facility today and we probably will not want to implement such a system.

The Moderation Team have observed that Scorptec tends to maintain its eBay stock at 5 units, and we have since exempted Scorptec eBay posts (those that showed 5 available units) from the limited quantity rule. However, what happened to Intel Arc A750 is an example of Scorptec not behaving as you claimed it would.

              Sales Quantity Changes
              16/3 12:38
              16/3 14:26
              16/3 15:44
              17/3 01:57
              17/3 02:44
              17/3 03:38
              17/3 03:54
              17/3 04:26
              17/3 04:38

At the beginning of the sale, there were 4 units. 3 units were sold and now there is 0 available. There were 4 unnecessary stock quantity changes, and 1 unit disappeared without a trace. What you implied would happen (that Scorptec would keep on topping up its stock) did not happen.

    • I only fixed product tags, didn't check quantity.

  • thank you

  • +1

Thanks OP. I just grabbed a 6750XT from Scorptec (but it came in at $583.10)

  • Is the 3070 worth it? Looks like it might be perfect performance for me 1440p 60fps?

    • +1

6750XT beats 3070 for 1440p performance by 10ish% from memory. 3070 is better if you use/need NVIDIA Raytracing, DLSS and RTX as someone explains above

      • Unfortunately I need nvidia for certain emulators. 700 seems decent for 3070 but prices are crazy and all over the place.

        • +2

What emulators require Nvidia cards or perform better on them? Don't think I'm ready to bite the bullet but emulation is relevant to me so it'd be good for me to keep that in mind.

  • Thank you!

  • So glad I bit the bullet in the AfterPay sale last year. Way better GPU deals.

The 3070 from CA is alright tho.

  • +2

What would you guys recommend for my 1440p ultrawide display? Mostly for gaming but also some AI stuff occasionally.
I just replaced my CPU to a AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core and mobo to X570S Tomahawk for ref. I currently have a 5700XT.

  • -2

lolz i paid 599 for 6700XT after seeing a reddit post late last year, haven't even installed it

    • +2

The old curse of OzB - buy first, regret later.

    • I'll give you 50 bucks for it

    MSI MECH Radeon RX 6700 XT 2X OC 12GB - JW - $539.75(ebay.com.au)

Compulsory $9.99 shipping to be added to that price, too.

    ASUS DUAL Radeon RX 6750 XT OC 12GB - Scorptec - $577.27(ebay.com.au)

    APAYDAY3 price now AU $583.10

    • +1

Deal can't be updated because alvian has locked it but appreciate the update

  • Would it be wise to get insurance cover for the delivery of something like a graphics card on eBay or do the buyers protections make it redundant?

    • Buyer's protection will cover it

  • Might pixk up a 6750xt, I've heard the card is huge! Does anyone know if it fits in an NZXT h1 v1? I can't find much details on fitment

    • NZXT H1 fits GPUs up to 2.5 slots. The Asus Dual 6750 XT is 2.7 slots

  • Some good deals on some previous generation GPUs, good to see

  • "Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again.". Yes i selected the payment method first. Do i need to have an account prior to doing this?

  • Not super relevant to this but I just saw the amd and last of us part 1 promotion from many retailers. Is it possible/worthwhile doing, buying an asus dual 6500xt for $250, redeem the game and sell it for $200. The card would be brand new in box with receipt and perhaps worth $200? I’m not sure on the desirability of these low end cards, probably not worth the trouble.

    • Seems like too much trouble to save like $20

      • yeah same thoughts but the game would be 60us or aud $95 of steam, too much of a rip off for a PlayStation 3 game.

        • Better off just buying a key for AU$60-70 I reckon

  • Purchased the RTX 3060 Ti. Hope I can get it next week

  • Any reviews on these particular models for the 6700XT/6750XT? Seems like all the nicer/triple-fan cards have disappeared off the market. Trying to decide between the 6700/6700xt/6750xt and 3060Ti, and that Sapphire 6700 looks pretty nice in comparison

    • Asus dual 6750 xt - reading on reddit: fans can be noisy, coil whine concerns, can only disable RGB by disconnecting from board :)
