        262 air watts vs 230 airwatts for v15. Probably won't make a huge difference especially on tiles and auto detect mode

          Its also 0.5kg heavier for the gen 5. Probably unnecessary weight at this point, its significantly heavier than the older models too.

            @ATangk: That’s a really good point. The Dyson v11 outsize when used as a hand vac is a real workout lol. Also I really use boost mode, just auto detect mode works fine.

        Subtle suction power and battery life difference. The fluffy head has a brighter light which shows more dust and crap. It’s nothing outrageous, just been waiting for ages and wanted to buy the latest out lol. I have the v11 outsize, v8 at one property, and also the v6

            @lwinstan: Just do it, the new motor bar prevents any tangling of long hair around the brush attachment. Godsend for households with long hair.

                @whitey: I had a similar issue. I have the available limit ($1000) but it would decline my purchase "sorry, we're unable to approve your order."

                Purchased the eBay gift card through Woolworths ($500) and the rest on Afterpay $448. Was able to use the Gift card access code AND the APAYDAY3 coupon.

                It worked as expected

                  @exidez: Thanks everyone, I bought a $500 Ebay gift card from my Macquarie Bank account for 2% discount (saved another $10 - wooop) . Man I've bought some cleaning gear from Ozbargain lately, over the last couple of weeks I bought A Karcher Window Vacuum, a Bissell Spot Cleaner, A Bissell upright cleaner and now this. If this doesn't win me any brownie points with the missus nothing will :) . The only time I'm using afterpay is to get these discounts, but as there are no fees it doesn't bother me much. Gone are the days when you get a discount for cash, now you get a discount for spending money that you don't have.

            @Bepolite: It worked for me. Bought a $69 SD Card less 15% off ($10.35) = $58.65. Paid $50 with a gift card and $8.65 had to go on Afterpay. So you definitely can't put 100% on gift cards but you can put the bulk of it.

            @AP7: If bought from Dyson direct the serial is logged, as long as you clean your original machine and it's within 45 days of purchase you should be able to make use of their money back guarantee. Not through indirect though

      Dyson website is $1,098 but you get an additional Detail Cleaning Kit (3 pieces) values at $99. The eBay one does not include the Detail Cleaning Kit.

    Really good price for the V15. Unfortunately V15 is a lot heavier than V12 according to reviews. I'm still waiting for V12 price to be dropped.

    Pulled the trigger on this, even though was hoping for a Gen5 deal at this price to be honest cause didn't want to have to pull the trigger.. Badum-Tish

    Did the Afterpay step, only got approved for $600 so just bought a $500 voucher on Prezzee and then the balance on Afterpay, could have tried for a cashback deal or something but was just lazy and didn't want it to go out of stock etc. like usually happens to me.

        Just because Dyson over priced it doesn't make it a good deal. It's true value is something like $100. You can buy a decent pushy with disk brakes and carbon frame for $1000

    I bought the v15 as an upgrade to my v6 and regretted the purchase. I knew it was going to be heavier but I didn’t think it would actually be so obvious. My arms feel sore after using it for a while. It might be because I’m using it mainly on the stairs and upholstery, where lifting is involved. I mainly rely on the Dyson to clean wherever the robot can’t clean.

    So if you’re upgrading and you’re used to one that’s 2kg, please try this on the store before purchasing!

        I contemplated for so long but in the end I returned it cos I hated it everytime I have used it over the two weeks. I felt a bit bad returning something brand new that I’ve opened to use! Also regretted unboxing everything, because I had figure out how to pack everything back. Didn’t think I’d be returning, haha so don’t make the same mistake. Now back to using the V6. I guess I’ll wait till the V12 slim has a great offer or my V6 dies.

    If someone uses afterpay, can they really afford this 'luxury' stick vacuum. Why is afterpay targeting vulnerable people for items that are not necessities? Don't want to be judgemental but doesn't seem sensible to me and a financial trap. Can someone enlighten me?

      Fair statement, but I think big chunk of people that use afterpay are people that can afford such luxury, and use afterpay to their advantage.
      Same as how higher income people use credit cards to their advantage instead of being taken advantage of.

      Any of the new 2022 models onwards from Dyson have them. They changed the name of the brush to motorbar. You can even get v8’s with the new motorbar head.

        Have contacted Dyson support. That part is called the wand clip and is not included with the V15 complete.
