  The model for this, which is impossible to find in the Amazon listing, is WL-WN531AX2. EDIT : I'm blind

  This does not support OpenWRT yet but apparently its internals could support it with some work from the OpenWRT team eventually.

    Well that sucks. Was considering it for a dedicated wireless VR AP for the Quest.

    edit: Says it supports AP via firmware update. Think I'll still avoid.

      It's cheaper than a WiFi card and has better range.

      Just bought one (thanks OP) specifically for my Quest 2 so I can FINALLY fulfill my fantasy of falling asleep playing Elite Dangerous in bed.

      AP and repeater mode are both ways of extending the range of an existing router with an internet connection. AP would require a LAN cable between the two devices and a repeater mode would use a wireless connection to the internet router to extend.
      Happy to be corrected on the details.

  fyi The firmware update has to be done manually (download from the link then upgrade) but it works and is quite a good update as it does enable AP mode and makes the UI much prettier.
