OP which ones are the best price ever?

  • +1

I’m guessing the S7 will drop further when the S8 range is fully released here, the S8 seems a huge leap ahead

  • is Xiaomi scooter good buy?

    • +3

I've had a pro 2 for almost 2 years now and have neglected it to a reasonable degree, still going strong with good charge.

Had to replace a rear tyre, never again. Take it to a bike shop and pay someone else to do it!

I hacked it a few times to get ~33kmh top speed but it's too hard to hack it now and get the settings right. I'm back to official firmware and 25kmh top speed.

Recommend it if you think you will use it regularly.

    • Great reliable scooter. If you buy the wheel online you can just swap it out in like 10 min or attempt to change it yourself - not difficult with the right tools but can be a nightmare.

Good reliable scooter tho, been going for 3 years on mine with original battery and goes great.

    • How much your weight? I had Mi Scooter Pro 2. I am 90kg and this is not a good buy for me. My housemate however, arround 70kg and this is perfect for her. I sell it to her and she had it for 2 years now, with no issue. Even drive it in the rain sometimes.

  • No deals on the s7 maxv?

    • I keep holding out for maxv deals knowing very well i wont be able to afford it at even 2000. Happy with s9 for now but its nice to keep the dream alive.

  • S7 plus must be near all time low. Paid $100 more with previous mobileciti deal a while back.

These are strong scooters. I'm part of a ScooterHacking organisation that modifies e-scooters and gets more power and speed out of them. We've always found that the Pro 2s are quite stable, and can take upwards up 1200w, and will do 34kmh at 42V. Quite impressive, plus having that physical brake will make it a lot safer than other similarly sized e-scoots with only a foot-brake.

    • Can you hack Bosch ebike?

      • We've looked into the Bosch drivetrains before, although it's not a very popular platform to work on. I personally haven't had any experience with them

    • how does this xiaomi compared to say f30/40a?

      • +1

For the F30/40A, we only recently made significant progress to unlock amp control on them too. So far, the top speed seems to be excellent on F series although the Pro 2 is a much more well known platform for modifications. You can find third party suspension and motor upgrades for the Pro 2 considering it's been around for a little while now. I just love how solid the Pro 2 is as a scooter.

        • Amp control? Do tell?

          • @messmorph: Basically, we flash a firmware that allows us to change the amps of the scooter to any value. If you install the ScooterHacking.org app from Play Store you can install it onto the scoot from there.

On my personal Ninebot ES4 I run 25A for daily use. This works out to around 1000w. The firmware name is SHFW and was created by our devs

            • @Zackeroo: Thanks for taking time to reply. I can see on the scooterhacking.org site or lists esx, g30 and Xiaomi. But can't see anymore information for the 'F' series. What am I missing?

I have the f40 with added front suspension and was wanting to do a 48v battey upgrade. But I will try how increasing the amps goes. The f40 currently cant get me upto the top of my street as on a small hill and I am 90kg

              • @messmorph: Honestly, just hop on our Discord server. There should be a link somewhere, but we discuss absolutely everything and if you're dating enough to do a 48V modification you'll definitely like it around here.

Turns out the F-Series firmware is still in prerelease testing, although has been making excellent progress. I got some stats from a fellow F40 48V user who will be able to give you a little advice on what to expect. Originally on 36V, they were freewheeling at 38kmh. With 48V, they were freewheeling between 46-48kmh. Pretty decent difference, plus the extra amps will help you climb hills a bit better too.

Link to Discord is here if you need to ask anyone anything. We got around 21000 members right now: https://scooterhack.in/discord

      • The F40A is a 350W scoot, this Xiaomi is 300W. Better range as well.

I just purchased one of the refurbed F40A for $599. Havemt received it yet, but they are in "as new" condition.

        • that's what i am considering too, though it is 'illegal' to ride a escooter in sydney.

i saw parents put their children onn a escooter and rode together home.lol

        • Was looking at that too. Not sure how is the battery. Will it be new or lucky draw

          • @ce5himm: Received my F40A today. Brand new, sealed in the box for anyone interested in purchasing.

  • I wanted two vacuums. S7 and S7 Plus Was trying two separate transactions but the code was only accepted for one transaction?
