For all of us who have a kayo subscription currently, can we create a new account and link our Qff and then it should work?

    • +6

      That worked for me.

      • Even if new Kayo account emails and current qff email is different?
Or do we need to make a new Kayo And QFF?

      • +2

Are you doing this with the same mobile number, or using a new one that hasn’t been liked to Kayo before?

    • +1

      Sure can!

  • +1

Does anyone know once you sign up, can you then pay using gift cards?

    • +6

I have before. As long as your account is in credit, it’ll use that first before the CC on file. Maybe you sign up and first month is CC, then load gift cards and subsequent months should be via them.

    • Are there sites selling discounted Kayo gift cards? Is it possible to buy them cheaper in another region?

      • +1

nope as Kayo is Australian only. You can get discount giftcards on occasion from the usual places when on special.

      • +6

Costco sells $100 gift cards for $85 as regular price. They have been on sale previously for $75.

  • Awesome. Thanks OP.

  • +10

    Need a unique mobile number.

  • +1

Do new email and mobile no
    needed?

    • Need a new email and mobile number to sign up for a new account.

    • Yes

  • How much is $1000 frequent flyer point worth?

    • +1

      $5

    • +5

About 1c per point is the going rate on OzB, so $10.

    • +18

      $1000

      • +1

Came here to say this - here take my upvote… :-D

  • Where do you enter QFF?
    Nvm found it

  • Is it free to join no charges ?

    • It is via Woolworths rewards

  • +11

"Seems like you have taken up a similar offer in the past so you’re not eligible for this one. The great news is we can offer you these packages instead"

Oh and the "offer on packages" is just their normal price.

    God I hate telstra.

    • +1

You need to join as a new customer..

    • +1

Copy the link and open in incognito tab

      • but when it comes to entering your phone number doesn't it recognise you then?

        • +1

Yep, phone, email, and possibly payment method all trigger it

        • Yes, I used a $2 boost sim and a new email + bank account

          • @craigoss: do you have to activate the sim?

            • +1

@discountguy: Yes but you don't need to add any credit. It's just for the verification code.

          • +7

@craigoss: Wife would think I am leading a double life if I got a burner sim, burner email and opened a new bank account haha.

            • +3

@Littlevu: Or you could just explain to your wife what you’re doing

              • +2

@illusion99: She will think that as an excuse for the double life he is leading

            • +3

@Littlevu: $2 sim, SimpleLogin and Revolut virtual card.
I thought these were OzBargain staples

  • So what's the best way to pay with QFF points -2000 points per month for basic plan?

    • 2000 points worth $20 (dm me if you want to sell whatever amount you have), so better sell those points on ozb and save 25% in payment method by using those $$.

  • +3

$15/m still too much for me to give Rupert

    • +3

$15/m still too much for me to give Rupert

Think of it as a wedding gift…

  • -1

Kayo FAQ, says you can't use QFF points to pay.

  • Thanks 🙏

Has anyone who signed up to the Qantas $5 for 2 months offer in Nov 2021 and let it expire 2 months later manage to sign up again using this offer or does it recognise you use to have it 1.5 years ago and won't let you sign up as a "returning" customer?

  • Thanks op

  • Does anyone know if the Telstra $10 off/mth is continuing this year?

    • +1

Have a read of this. I think if you are an existing Telstra customer on Kayo, once your plan expires you should in theory be able to roll over to this. Unfortunately for me I am not a Telstra customer so can't use this offer.

      https://checkout.telstra.com.au/consumer/rewards/home-intern…

      • Last year I just signed up for a $2 prepaid sim without a plan.

  • +1

    Good deal, thanks brother!

  • Does anyone know if signing up for this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/697572 and then having it cancelled will affect being eligible?

  • Anyone using Kayo and can comment on NBA content? Is it good enough to use Kayo for just that to keep up with the current playoffs etc or getting NBA live is better still?

    • +1

NBA pass is better. Not all the games are on Kayo so I had to watch through betting accounts (think TAB, Sportsbet, Bet365). Even those streams can be flaky but it’s free.

  • +5

Wanted this for F1 but still no 4K. Skipped…

    • +5

This! The fact that they don't stream content in 4K is a travesty. I have Kayo only for convenience, once this free period runs out, I'm out.

Sad that you can find illegal F1 streams in 4K, but you know, the legal way, you get shafted.

      • +1

I won't sign up until they have 4K

  • What am I missing? Isnt below offer cheaper for Basic?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/755257

    • +3

Maybe people don't need a full year… for example 9 months should cover the remaining F1 season.

    • Doesn't offer premium (three slots)

    • +1

Many of us only sign up for 6 months for the footy season, so this is always cheaper than any 12 month deal.

  • Sweet as, I think I have a spare SIM kicking about otherwise I'll buy a $2 sim!

  • So what is the alternative to Kayo sports (similar priced) if subscribed from another international provider - accesed via VPN or otherwise?

    • +1

Depends what you watch really. For cricket, any Indian IPTV like CruzeTV will work which is $399 for 2 year subscription. It has pretty much all sports (excluding Footy) including EPL and all movies / Series you can think of Hollywood and Bollywood. Comes to about $16.50 per month. Better than paying for Netflix + Prime + Kayo + Optus Sport.

  • If you already have a Kayo account, could you change your email and number associated with that account and then make a new account with your primary email and phone number?

Would prefer to log in through my main email rather than one of my secondary ones.

    • +1

Yes to email, no to Mobile number as it is used to confirm whether you were an existing customer.

  • Is there a way to get a cheap Qantas frequent flyer number?

  • +3

For anyone who signed up as a new customer before this deal was posted, I managed to just speak on Live Chat to get this discount applied. I was still in the 7 day free trial period, they confirmed I was a new customer and I gave them my QFF number and they put the offer through on my account.

    • How did you ask?

I just created my account through Kayo directly, and then realised that I needed to go through Qantas directly, the live chat person wouldn't budge.

      • Me: Are you able to apply the $10/month discount that is currently being offered?

Kayo: We can confirm that you are eligible for the offer as you are a new customer on Kayo. For the points, please note that sign-up bonus points will be allocated within 10 days of the offer period end date. You signed up on 16 March 2023, you need to reach back to us 10days after you signed up to us.

Are any unconventional streaming services for AFL live streaming? I'm asking for a friend?

    • +1

Tell your friend to google 'VIP Box TV AFL' and they may find what they are seeking. Pro-tip, when you click the drop down, and click the link to stream, a new page opens. Once open, there is a plug-in with streaming video, with a play button. Select play, but often multiple times, new tabs will open. Don't close these tabs yet. Just click back to the original streaming page, and click play button again. Once the stream begins, then you may close the additional pop up tabs. If you close them first, there seems to be a block that does not allow the stream to begin, hence leaving the tabs open. Also, sometimes the stream may not work if you are using ad blocker software.

      Hope this helps your friend.

P.S. I actually just pay for Kayo now because it's less hassle to stream, but Kayo won't work overseas and that's when 'my friend' discovered this work-around…

  • @nokidsandthreem

Kayo is easy to use but their customer service and arbitrary price changes are preposterous. They do it because they have no competition for now.

Sending his thanks, this is amazing! 🙂

What's the quality like? Any 4K action?

    • No 4K unfortunately, only available via Foxtel

  • How do I make a new account without a.new phone number? Can I use land line

    • You get paid to get a new number..
      - Pop the sim in,
      - activate it
      - get new numberm
      - Sign up to Kayo
      - get the verification sms
      - ditch the sim (after you've add other services, disney, stan, 7-11, etc)

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/Boost%20profit%20ty…

      • Can I use my wife's number?

        • Yes if not already used. A Verification SMS goes to it just for the sign up.

  • question: if I start with basic 2 screens, can I upgrade to premium 3 screens at a later date for an extra $5/month?

    • I don't see why not as you are still on the Qantas deal and just upgrading to the $25 deal. If in doubt just ask their Kayo CS via Chat..

  • I bought an Optus Flex eSIM for $1 to get a new number for signing up to this. Was a bit nervous giving them my driver's licence details hopefully they don't get breached again!

    • They are probably the most secure network now seeing as they were already hacked. A lot of money would have been spent to tighten things up.

Besides that, so you could activate it and got a number to receive SMS's to without having to add any $$?

      • Yes hopefully that's the case! Yes that's right, they have a $1/day plan for 4G only, so I signed up to that and then cancelled after completing the Kayo sign-up

  • Anyone with the one year free Kayo offer deal from last year. Has your subscription ended yet ?

    • mine just finished last night.Went the full year too boot. Unfortunately, the FLASH news deal, they caught on and made me either go freebie or pay, F that.

    • Yes - hence why I'm looking at this deal / post :(

  • Does 'for 12 months' mean you are stuck paying for 12 months? Or can ya sign up and cancel after footy season is over?

    • You can cancel anytime as it is billed monthly.

    • It's month to month so can cancel after footy season.

  • +1

For anyone who got Kayo and didn't already see, 10% off Streamotion Gift cards (Kayo/Binge) via this deal and you can pay with your discounted Amazon gift cards.

    • Aggg. Just bought a $25 using existing $150 Prezzee card a few hours ago. This deal is much better value so grabbed one. Just wish Kayo was not only in $25 denominations as I only need $60 (3 x $20) more! Thanks for that link as I somehow missed it!
