        Not if they're Jetstar.

        Not cheap when they continuously cancel your flights wasting you time and money with no compensation.

            chances of a stuff up are significantly higher with Jetstar than any other Australian airline.

    Even if you book now for Dec flight Jetstar will leave you stranded or Dissatisfied in some way Don't do it .

      I booked a flight late last year 3 months in advance and they cancelled it within a couple of weeks of booking and didn't even notify me they cancelled it.

          Just by luck I happened to log and to get my itinerary and saw it had been cancelled.
          I wonder if they were going to wait until the day of the flight to tell me? Who knows, it wouldn't surprise me…
          There were two more cancellations after this before we finally got to our destination.

          Wasted money on hotel before finally departing, lost 2 nights holiday accommodation and car hire.
          No compensation from Jetstar and can't claim insurance because first flight on itinerary was cancelled so we technically hadn't departed.

          So Jetstar ends up costing more both in money, frustration and anxiety… And they don't care about it at all.

            @jv: (I obviously believe you) but how the hell is that possible in this 1st world country?? I'm not an online frother - But that experience would turn me.

            I'm not a young backpacker any more. Can't just turn everything upside down.

    After my last cancellations with Jetstar I'm never flying with them again, don't care if they are $20 cheaper.

    Jetstar had lots of issues 6 month ago with grounded planes. I thought it's all resolved now? Any recent experience?
