Use cashrewards for $14.25 cashback, free money https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/764114

    • -6

I thought that's a one off, does not apply to ongoing recharges.

      • +3

Neither does this? It's the exact same deal on Boost's end, the difference being that you get cashback + profit from Cashrewards

        • -7

only for the first month this means you don't have to pay upfront for the cash back.

          • +2

@memez: What? You still need to pay $9.00 for the SIM.

      • Cashrewards takes me to the exact same link on Boost's website so I'm assuming the same 'first three recharges' deal applies

        • -7

          First 28 days $9 (45GB), Second 28 days $30(45GB), Third 28 days $30 (45GB), fourth $30(20GB) and so on

Cashback offer on another link is only for the first month no recharges and it is a percentage so because it cost you less there is less discount this just saves you going via the slow cashback rewards site.

          • @memez: Not even remotely true? It's a flat $14.25 cashback… not a percentage?

            • -6

              @dm02: It’s still $9 dollars lol

          • +1

            @memez:

            First 28 days $9 (45GB), Second 28 days $30(45GB), Third 28 days $30 (45GB), fourth $30(20GB) and so on

            = $99 for 4 months

            With Cashrewards cashback, it's
            First 28 days $9 - $14.25 cashback ($5.25 profit) (45GB), Second 28 days $30(45GB), Third 28 days $30 (45GB), fourth $30(20GB) and so on
            = $84.75 for 4 months

So it's cheaper with the Cashrewards deal

            • -2

@showzen: No you don’t get cashback with recharges, states in terms and conditions

              • @memez: …there's only the first month with cashback in that calc

Yours is exactly the same as the other deal but no cashback on the first month. Cashback on first month does not void or change anything in the ongoing months.

              • +1

@memez: No, if you recharge later on you still get the cashback. What the T&Cs say is there is no cashback on recharges.

                • -6

@showzen: In reality this is not true as I have tried it

    • -1

      Or shopback

  • +4

What, no profit? This is a rip off!

    • -7

smokes and mirrors the other deal this is the true one without the upfront cost.

      • +5

        without the upfront cost

What the hell are you smoking?

        • -7

          Reality

          • +2

@memez: Oof lol. The irony of that is utterly brilliant

  • +3

    OP's half right…this isn't a dupe of https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/764114 it's worse

    • -3

as of tomorrow it will be the best as cashback expires lol you save $10 woop

    Dear ChatGPT:

Deal1: $30 Boost Prepaid SIM with 28 Day Expiry (45GB Data on First 3 Renewals) $9 Shipped at Boost mobile.
Deal 2: $14.25 Cashback for $30 Boost Prepaid SIM with 28 Day Expiry (45GB Data on First 3 Renewals) $9 Shipped at Boost mobile.
Can you explain which deal is better?

Sure, I'd be happy to help you compare these two deals.

Deal 1: $30 Boost Prepaid SIM with 28 Day Expiry (45GB Data on First 3 Renewals) $9 Shipped at Boost mobile.
Deal 2: $14.25 Cashback for $30 Boost Prepaid SIM with 28 Day Expiry (45GB Data on First 3 Renewals) $9 Shipped at Boost mobile.

To determine which deal is better, we need to calculate the net cost of each deal. Net cost is the total amount you will pay after taking into account any discounts or cashback you receive.

Deal 2 costs $9 upfront and includes 45GB of data on the first three renewals, and also includes a cashback of $14.25. Therefore, the net cost of Deal 2 is $9 - $14.25 = -$5.25 (a negative cost), meaning that you are essentially making a profit of $5.25 after the cashback.

On the other hand, Deal 1 costs $9 upfront and includes 45GB of data on the first three renewals, and has no cashback. Therefore, the net cost of Deal 1 is simply $9.

In this case, Deal 2 is clearly the better option as it has a negative net cost, meaning that you not only get the SIM and data but also earn a profit of $5.25. However, it's worth noting that this deal may be subject to certain terms and conditions, so be sure to double-check the details before making a purchase.*

Anyway, even a bot knows which deal is better….

you're literally on a deal website.

posting something that is supposed to be a good deal.

        so ok?

  • What is the activation date expiry with these? Not interested in the bonus offer

    • Data offer valid for new customers only who activate by 3 April 2023 and third recharge by 29 May 202

      • Yep i read that. I want to know if i can activate this in , e.g. May and still get the 1 month. Not interested in the recharge.

        • yes

          • @memez: So… what is the activation date expiry then?

            • @jspaceman: you will get the $30 plan but you will only get 20GB per month of data not the bonus data that pushes you to 45GB for the first 3 months

    • +1

The last SIM I got from Boost has an expiry date of 2024-05-11.

Only activated that one yesterday, then ordered the new one with the Cashrewards deal, not yet received obviously.

      • Been enjoying a free sim and cash back for a while now . Just need to activate before 30 days of sim purchase.

    • Activation expiry ranges March to June 2024 at local officeworks (selling for $10)

  • I'm having issues activating the sims.
It says the SIM is invalid, or already been used. Had to call boost support and they were able to activate for me. but that was only 1 of like 8.
Then the second sim I was almost able to activate it but at the final step it says 'sorry we are having some trouble try again later'

  • if i am with telstra, do I count as a new boost customer, since they use same network? please and thx

    • get a new number or port one from another network in.

    • Yes you are a new customer for boost

      • +1

        Thank you 😊🙏
