    $99 x 24m = $2376 + $500 handset differance = $2876 - $250GC = $2626 = $109.41m over 24m (possible port in discount will bring price down)

if you don't need 300gb, look at other options like samsung trade in if you can get a code

    • The way i saw it is $200 for s23 ultra 256gb and $99 for 24 months.
Considering i buy stuff from jb so will use it and not to mention the $10 or $20 discount on telstra chat

      • how do you get discount on telstra chat? just contact them after buying?

      • There is no port in credit anymore as per Telstra chat

Unless it's replacing NBN at home, who uses anything like 300GB of data per month?

    • Agree, with WFH etc, I hardly even use 3GB a month these days. Boost FTW

    • I use mine to upload. Nbn has trash upload speeds

But yeah about 40gb a month for me, 300gb is a ton.

It'd be perfect for rural Victorians like myself who can't get NBN other than satellite due to being like 3 too many km outside a major township. But, of course Telstra, our most expensive and flagship national carrier, would have to offer reception out here which they absolutely do not.

    • If you've got a router with sim capability, I wonder if it's worth cancelling your NBN plan and going off this for the two years. That way at least you got a data plan for home and a phone at a cheap price.

I've maxed it out once, when downloading stuff on the PC - tethered my phone and used the speed and data of 5G > my NBN.

    Where to check more details?

    • In store only, ask staff

  • Have there been any recent 12 months deals like the one for the S20FE a couple of years ago? That was epic.

    So whats the actual cost?

  • Anyone had success with being cheeky and speaking with Telstra chat and moving from the plan to M2M and then cancelling with these recent plans?

    Haha

    • Wouldn't that count as exiting the plan which means you have to repay everything and bonuses.
Personally haven't found a way but would be great if there was.

    • They now track the GC as bonus provided over 24 months so it's essentially an exit fee.

      • Right, they're getting smart,.
Back then you could try your luck and ask the Telstra agent to change from plan to m2m without etc and then later cancel + keep phone and gc.
        Those were the days

  • Have anyone tried the price match?

  • Only if you need 300g/m or at least 200g

    ETC?

  • Can you use the $250 gift card to reduce the cost of the handset?

    • Unlikely

  • Watch out for blurry photos…

  • Was very tempted by a similar preorder deal. But I'm only paying $29/month for my mobile service through Moose Mobile (55GB promo deal). I rarely use all of that data anyway, so I couldn't justify an extra $70/month for 24 months for data I don't need. This plan also does not come with international minutes, which is a deal killer for me. So I bought the phone outright from Samsung during pre-order which worked out better for my needs.

  • How is the discount applied? Is it via price reduction or a gift card?
