Is This Job Offer Fake?

Hi all,

While searching for job online I tumbled across a listing on Indeed which was posted by Westfield

The job had a position for Mail Clerk. The JD suited me so I applied

Going further got a response from recruiter saying I was shortlisted and they need to start onboarding process.

Reasons why I think its fake:

  1. 3500$ -4000$ pay for a remote job for 1-2 hrs a day
  2. The HR is communicating via Gmail
  3. The profile , work and salary look too good to be true
  4. Kept calling the number on the website and it never connected, always said no opertor available at the moment and it would disconnect in about 5 mins

Website of the company looks genuine though (https etc), but still….getting a https website is not a big deal

They haven't asked for any money yet, just my ID and other details for onboarding to begin

So wise OzB community please guide me

Below is company website:

It's a scam. I hope you didn't send them your ID.

The message may claim lots of money can be made with little effort using your personal computer, or guarantee large returns.

Money laundering business. Read up on it. They basically use you as mule for cash to deposit at the banks so it is your face on the wanted poster.

  • LOL ITS A SCAM LOL

  • Their Finance Manager, Patrick Cooper, seems to be this guy's body with a white guy's head https://twitter.com/kalpitpjain

Though I suspect neither of them are the original body.

Report them. a .com.au used to mean something, I guess not anymore..

Ok did some search on images from Our Team
    https://atcdelivery.com.au/about

1st Pic :Thomas Elliott is actually Max Sxwaj VP Aston Martin
2nd Pic Richard Bulter is actually Gordon Fyfe CEO of BCI
didn't bother to check rest of the pics.

  • Take the goolge street view and see where in Park St their orifice is and if you find it then they are legit.

  • your senior migration consultant is actually a chief officer at Aston Martin

    Are you still tumbling ?

    • That was the first thing I thought too!

If you do a whois lookup of atcdelivery.com.au, they have an ABN -> 67616138673 which is just a sole trader located in Blacktown.
You then do an ABN lookup and see it's been registered for only a year - doesn't really match "A Corporate Relocation and Immigration Consultancy commenced in Australia in 2014."

  • Big picture of Sydeny but Melbourne address?

    FAKE

  • The English seems strangely written, and the photos are cringe.
