Never understood this nomenclature of "true wireless"…they're either wireless, or they're not…there's no middle ground.

    • Wireless means no wire to the audio source

      • Yes I understand that, it's the implication that there are somehow degrees of wirelessness that I am intrigued by.

Before these individual wireless earphones, there were ones which connected the two with a wire. They did not have problems of audio sync, since they were physically connected. Early ‘true’ wireless earbuds suffered from audio desync between the left and right earpiece, solutions included adding extra delay between the source and the speaker to allow both earphones to ‘catch up’ but this made watching videos very unpleasant as there was up to a full second delay.

We take things for granted but they’ve come far in the last few years so much that people forgot the experiences of the early adopters.

Picked up for around $35 a year ago, probably not worth much more that.

    • Does your unit allow you to control volume via the bud's controls? It seems like that's not a feature for this unit which in today's standard, all buds should have volume controls!
