    OOS :D

    • +1

      Nope, still there it seems

  • Lavender version only remaining

  • +3

Great price on an amazing phone.

  • +2

$1,899 for 1tb models is pretty well priced as well. Similarly price to Kogans imports

  • +1

    Green is also on sale

  • +6

GAH! I'm actually tempted. FFS. :(

  • -1

$300 over the previous deal for 256gb seems a bit much. Shame they dropped the microSD expansion.

    • +4

12gb Ram vs 8gb ram as well?

      • The website says 12gb ram, but is that an error?

        • +1

Yes they have even labeled all S23+ with 12GB RAM

        • +1

512gb comes with 12gb RAM so not a typo.

        • I believe only the 512gb ultra and 1TB ultra have the 12gb ram. Which explains the steep price increase over the 256gb ultra (to an extent)…

          • @hypie: Thanks, so is it worth the extra 300 bucks for double the storage (I don't need it) but mostly the RAM?

            • @wearytraveller: Maybe. IMO you don't need more than 8gb RAM on Android in general, my s21 Ultra (16gb RAM) uses around 6gb normally, 2gb to run individual apps should be sufficient.

  • +3

Would love to but rising interest rate is kicking my ass.

  • +1

Time to change my almost 4yo huawei p30 pro. Bit the bullet with 512gb lavender.

    • same deal with my mate 20 pro - how did you come to the 512GB over the 256GB option?

      • Because hes a real man

    • Congrats….. Won't have to worry about your social credit score anymore.

    • My touchscreen has died on my P30 Pro. Weirdly though I think it might be interference with the fingerprint reader maybe?

I might do a full reset on it or something to see if it goes away and not use the fingerprint.

      • Thats cool, thanks for that

  • +3

My note 10+ still going strong but tempted by this, lavender isn't my favourite colour but I guess you can cover it with a case

  • +13

I swear to god.. Samsung are cnnts for removing the MicroSD card and charging ridiculous premium for the 1TB edition. So angry about this.

      Following 🍎

I was always an apple hater (wife loved them)
As android phones started matching iPhone in losing features the similarities made jumping much easier.
The latest Sony Xperia’s make me miss the flexibility of Android quite a bit, just zero support and no 5g or VOLTE on some models….

      • +4

Samsung was once known as full with features smartphone , not anymore. No headphone jack, no sd card slot, no charger in the box … atleast hope that they bring back sd card slot

      • The latest Sony Xperia’s make me miss the flexibility of Android quite a bit, just zero support and no 5g or VOLTE on some models….

As much as I love Sony, the gap between announcement date and actual market availability makes it difficult to want to desire them (and now.. no local support)

  • Would this be eligible for TRS?

    • You can normally request a tax invoice.

Awesome. Price protecting my officework purchase. $1,499- $250 (pre order voucher) - $300 (trade in bonus for cracked phone which is worth nothing) = $950 for S23 512 GB Ultra within 1 month of release.

    • +1

Plus some bonus flybuys :) love ozb

    • Hey mate, can i ask some questions? 1.Whats the process of trade in? 2. Pre-order voucher is finished for now? 3. Price protection as in Price matching nowm (sorry I am new)

      • Trade in and voucher is for preorder only. Price protection through 28 degrees mastercard grandfathered policy.

To be honest, they should really stop price protection.

        • +1

No they shouldn't. Its how they give a little back.

  • +1

I just paid $1,497 for this (but in Black) combined with Buds2 Pro, from Samsung directly. Requires having a device to trade in (not that I intend to send it). Some of the bonuses that stack expire tonight I believe.

    See https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/762657 and https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/762748.

Some minor hassel involved, but potential good benefits. Some people were able to get an even better deal than I did, I wasn't as lucky.

  • Never had an Amazon delivery which requires a signature, will they take it to a parcel pickup point if I'm not home?

    • Have you had high value items delivered from them before?

      • Nope

      • +3

They literally put my 1900$ lens at my front door 0.0

      • +2

I ordered 3 laptops from them and they were just left on my doorstep without ringing the bell.

    • Change the delivery address to pick up location.

      • That blew out the delivery date to 14th April for some reason

    • No. They leave your item at the front door and take a picture of it with their phone and then leave without ringing the door bell.

They don’t care to put the item in the mailbox because they can’t take a picture of it. So their motto is leave at front door, snap, and run away - They don’t care about safe location.

      • What's stopping them from taking a photo, then just taking the item after?

        • +2

Losing there job, being caught on camera etc

        • +1

Nothing unless they are caught on camera or have significant complaints on them on missing items

    • +2

I had a robor vacuum ($43x) delivered last month and a signature WAS required. Lucky i was home.

I also ordered this phone and just got this email.

"On the day of delivery, we will email you a one-time password to enter on the driver's device for delivery. "

"Due to the value of some items, a one-time password (OTP) is required on delivery for some orders.

An OTP adds an extra layer of security to your packages.

If an OTP is required, we will send a six-digit, numeric OTP to your registered email address after we ship the item.

You can also find the OTP by selecting Track Package beside the order in Your Orders.

Your OTP is valid until the end of the delivery day.

Read the OTP you’ve received to the driver ."

      • +1

Wow … shoutout to my Amazon Driver who went above and beyond.
Delivery was scheduled for today - (I had received the OTP) , but I was at work.
He called me and I told him not to leave it unattended (he said I could give him the OTP).

I told him I was at work (about a 4.5km drive away) and he actually told me that he would come to my work address after his other deliveries.

He arrived about an hour later and handed me the package.
The app has a built in security tracking to not let him give away the package when it is not in the correct suburb.
I gave him the code and he had to drive back into the 'correct' suburb so that he could enter the OTP to complete the delivery.
        What a great guy.
        So impressed!

(The option was to return it back to the depot and they would have to reattempt delivery tomorrow - not good for me as I am working tomorrow too)

  • Is this worth the extra $400 over the S23+?

    • very subjective due to the different form factor (pen etc.)… personally i wouldn't consider the S23+ at all. The PPI is absolutely disgusting. Of course you could "get used to it", but at this price that's ridiculous.

    • Depends how much you use the camera or if you'd use the S Pen. The camera on the S23U is going to be a fair bit better than the S23+ but it's still pretty decent. I personally think the S23+ is a great design with its flat screen and it's an ideal size.

Other than that they're largely the same. I don't notice the lower res screen, it still looks sharp enough to me.

    • Where do you get S23+ 512GB for $1099?

    • +1

I personally don't need S Pen as I have two iPads with Apple Pencils. And the size of the Ultra is absolutely too much to fit in a pocket. Thus, no.

  • Anybody have a screenshot with the lower price for the cream model?

  • +2
    • Anybody have a screenshot with the lower price for the lavender model?

  • No price match with JB because it's Prime members only …and it's kinda expired 😅🥲🥹😭

  • Has anyone that purchased this phone actually had it sent yet?
It says 2/4 delivery but hasn’t even been sent yet and no money has been taken from my account

    • Mine was delivered today . S23 ultra 512 gig, cream in colour. Said woukd be delivered next Wednesday. Sent last night , here by 8am to regional NSW.
I wasn't home and it was left on doorstep. Thankfully neighbour just found it and took it to her place.

      • I ordered the same one.

        When did you order?

        • Wednesday evening.

  • I got mine 2 hours ago. Ordered Wed night (Lavender).
See above for the way the driver went out of his way to complete the delivery.

    • That’s strange that mine is still not showing as shipped. I hope they didn’t run out and cancel my order

  • I got a nice surprise the package arrived signed for it but when I opened it there was a bottle of cream no phone
very upsetting contacted Amazon and have to return the wrong package first.

    • Are you sure it wasn't the cream coloured phone?

      • coconut cream haha the address was right not the item, oh well wasn't met to get.
