IMO it wasn't as good. The delay/s didn't really justify the end result. The story only got good in the second half.
DL1 Was my all time favourite game.
DL2 feels like a zombie Farcry with parkour. Not exactly amazing.

Dying light 2 is amazing as well but nowhere near as great as dying light and its unbelievable dlc.
If you haven't played it and you're a zombie / horror fan, do yourself a favour.

How is this for a coop game with 1 other?
the mrs and i like playing games like far cry coop together, wondering if this will tickle that itch for a bit.
My mate and I played through the whole game coop when it came out. It was fantastic.
Fantastic for co-op, highly recommend.
My partner and I had a lot of fun in co-op. If you liked Far Cry together you'll love this
Echoing others. Dying Light is a fantastic co-op game. Running around the city at night with your friends is an absolute rush!
Absolutely amazing
My wife and I played through this in its entirety and had a blast. We also enjoy playing games like Far Cry together too, so that's a good baseline for you.
Plus you can't really argue with free, if you don't like it, uninstall and move on :)

I bought this game 3 years ago or so, could barely make it out of the tutorial before getting nauseous and never playing again until a few weeks ago. Same result, which is a shame. I've heard great things about it.
I feel your pain. I've had that issue with a number of games over the years, although it's got less frequent over time. Not sure if that's me getting used to it or games getting better (I'm not sure what causes it, I've heard a few explanations like frame rate, FOV, etc). I wasn't able to play any FPS until Call of Duty 4 because they all made me sick before that. But these days I can play FPS, I played Mirror's Edge, Dying Light etc. Last time I had an issue was Sleeping Dogs, and that wasn't even first person.
Don't forget to add the free add-ons (there are a few)
Played 1 and 2 and enjoyed both immensely. Though 1 is definitely better (more scarier and story wise).
Struggled recently to get into 2. But I remember the original demo which I liked. So will give this a try instead.
An error occurred on both my s7plus tablet and also my s22 ultra phone. Tablet said device not supported and the phone just says error has occurred.. First time ever not been able to claim a free game. Ty Op.
Might just be server issues if you can't access the page, it was a little spotty for me trying to redeem the game initially.

Stupid game. Got some profile error and it returned me to the title and I lost mysave
Yea running into this error twice in about an hour playing, which is ridiculous. You could just restart the game and you will see the saved progress I think.
Happened to me four times in under two hours. Lost my save twice and had to restart from scratch.
Reloaded the game entirely the third time and the save was restored from the cloud but I just stopped playing when it crashed the fourth time.
It's started happening with Dying Light 2 as well.
I've tried this solution: turn off Epic cloud save for it. Not having this problem after it, although I've only played for like one hour since but worth a try.
Anyone else Crashing before even getting to the intro? this is ridiculous.
Just finished the tutorial. Crashed with some error about "my profile changing" then the game reset back to the very beginning.
This happened twice more before I finally got to the part when co-op was enabled.
Then the same error happened to my mate. Back to the very beginning.
We persisted and played about an hour with eachother before he got another profile error and we gave up.
Has anyone had issue with coop with friend? It always shows: the game is no longer available.
