  • Nice deal

The mapping software on the X1 series is terrible. It is worse than the T8 series. My unit has gone back for repair, faulty off-the-floor sensors after 3 months of use. Hopefully they can fix the mapping as well.

    • Good luck, ecovac will not bother updating anything even if x1 have x pattern cleaning layouts ready if you set to clean area twice, they don't even bother to update it it t-series software.

    • Update:
Got my X1 back from warranty repair. They have also fix the mapping issue. So far mapping is working well and the 3D rendering is fairly accurate of the room’s layout.

🤞that it stays this way and doesn’t glitch out.

Jeez. Feedback from this community on ecovacs mapping is horrendous.

    Thanks guys

    • Yep, I have one and agree it's terrible. Haven't had a single update in 3 years. I have the 950. I'm constantly having to remap my house because there is no way to restore a map if it ghosts or messes up somehow. Seems like such a basic feature.
My advice is look at the reviews for a particular product but also look at the reviews for the app. Ecovacs is something in the 2's.

  • Roborock s7 maxv

  • Roborock s8 coming to aus very soon

  • That feature list is a dream, price seem ok relative to competition, so why is the mapping so bad?

  • Good machine paid $2000 last year.

  • Upgraded from Roborock s5 to Ecovacs T8+

    I miss the roborock.
