Still thinking about whether noise reduction when recording in body can be toggled off in the newer ZV-E1 or if there will be third party cooling solution for the zv-E1 like for the canon r5/r6
They are not even close to being the same thing - the A7s3 is far more capable, particularly for video.
The a7c is the basic entry-level model, which is fine for less demanding workflows that are primarily stills focused.
The a7s3 is focused on video, and should be purchased accordingly.
I wouldn't discount 12MP for print, but your other point about reframing is definitely more of an issue with 12MP. But if you're looking to do video the A7S3 is in a different league from the A7C. In saying that, the lack of firmware updates, and in turn new features, is destroying the A7S3 so if you want to do video I would probably even stay away from the A7S3 and go FX3. Sony is killing the A7S3, even the new ZV-E1 has some of Sony's new features and that's an "entry level" full frame for vloggers for gods sake.
A7c would be better value for stills due to its higher resolution sensor, A7SIII has a lower resolution sensor thats better for capturing images in low light situations, and packed with other video specific features to target youtubers, vloggers, filmmakers etc
A7c and a7 siii has the exact same sensor mate.
I think you are referring to zv-e1 instead of the a7c.

I was just recently looking at these, I know very little about this stuff but isn’t A7c is significantly better value for almost the same thing? Is it very different than a7 siii?
Also is this still alright for photos? (Answer seems to yes if you don’t want to print but I don’t know, always been unsure to buy 12mp now as it gives you much less opportunity to re-frame…)
