Was looking at this Vaccum for home with two dogs (Border Collies) and a cat. Was recommended this.

Ended up buying from the Good Guys who wouldn't price match Amazon, but would price match Harvery Norman. Bing Lee have it for $599 as well.

For the sake of $20, I bought it from TGG.

Highly recommended, it has done a great job to the floor so far and the carpets are amazing!

When I was researching a couple of years ago, these were supposedly one of the best domestic vacuums you can buy.

    • +10

I believe that is still the case. A lot better than a Dyson.

      • +9

        Dyson is so overrated.

        • +3

I was going to say that about Miele, as my Miele collecting dust in a storage.

    • Agree about the Dysons being crap. But there's the german Sebo K3 which has better ratings than Miele and won the Choice Award.

      https://sebo.com.au/vacuum-cleaners/sebo-k3-premium-barrel-v…

      • Yeah but it's $1595!

        • +6

Yeah the rav4 is alright but have you guys looked at the g63 AMG? Much better ratings.

          • @Burnzie86: V8 twin turbo head. My carpets have never been so clean

        • Around $700 if you wait for a special.

  • CX1 is in my opinion a better product because it's bagless and is currently cheaper on Amazon

Miele Blizzard CX1 Cat and Dog Bagless Vacuum Cleaner 10502220, Autumn Red https://amzn.asia/d/8A3ySR5

    • I believe you can get the C3 in a bagless. We were told it was a bit the same same, Bagless was a bit more $$$. I don't mind a bag, it doesn't make a mess like it was cleaning my Dyson. And it is only $30 for 4 bags + 2 filters.

      • There is 2 versions of the cx1. The blizzard is the c3 equivalent and the boost is the smaller one. There is no other bagless c3 as far as im aware. I just got the cx1 blizzard cat & dog via jb online price match. They wouldnt match instore I had to get the online chat bot to match it then go pick up from the same store. Go figure.

    • We’ve got the bagless cx1 and love it
Friend has the c3 bag vers and loves it
      Might both be great

    • +1

Who wants to mess around with bagless? It’s counterintuitive when you’re emptying the thing.

      • Yeah, don't get it either.

  • $5 a bag

    • And cut with every chemical known to man.

  • Do either of these come with a hard floor brush?

    • -3

You need to buy separately. Around $100.

    • My cx1 blizzard cat dog (the equivalent bagless version) came with a combination head that has a hard floor switch, and also a turbo brush head which is carpet only.

    • +4

Yes, it (c3) has a turbo head and a combination hard floor head, unless it's different to mine from 3 months ago, rich I doubt

  • +7

What happened to the prices of these, I picked one up a few years ago for under $300

    • +1

Same, picked up a c3 non dog version for $270 off Amazon in 2020. Insane.

    • Yea these have doubled in price over the last couple of years. Bought mine for under $300 too

  • +5

These are $550 on good guys commercial if you have access

    • Yes, but then you don't get the retail warranty.

There was a OZB post on GGC sign up for free a couple of years ago. But I can't find it now.

      • +1

you just gotta make a account for Rest super and you get access to GGC. i did it couple days ago

        • +2

Or SunSuper; that's what I did.

  • Do these still have problems with the cord winder on the bag version of these? After a while the cord just stops retracting when the cord rewind button is pressed. Ended up replacing it with the Miele Blizzard CX1 Excellence PowerLine Bagless. It's been great and haven't had any problems yet.

  • Stupid cat

  • +1

For the sake of $20 you bought it from TGG?!

Mate, most people on here would sell an organ for $20 if it was the best offer.

    • Op could of priced match.

      • -1

Op confirmed they would not price match! 😲

        • -1

I got jb to price match via online chat, but not instore. Worth trying that route with ggs as well, probably the same chatbots.

  • -3

No power head on these and it takes expensive bags.

Consider a Shark upright. Pet XL is the same price as this.

    • -1

Mine came with a power head and non power head, plus smaller power head for vehicle etc.

      • +1

It says turbo head in the product image and description.

        • Yeah these haven’t even got the socket for a power head

  • How many cats can it bag?

  • +5

Have had the c3 for almost 10 years and just replaced it recently with the same. I recommend going with the bag version because it filters the air much better and no dust escapes while emptying, I also have a Dyson v10 which i consider pure garbage in comaprison - low suction power, huge amount of dust goes back in the air, hepa filter is a joke etc

    • +3

100% agree. Have had mine for 5 years. The build quality on the Miele is also in another league completely, whereas the Dysons feels like cheap plastic that will break easily.

    • +6

      This is the way.

People think they're saving money by not buying bags, but the bags put less stress on the motor and filters, and ultimately you're getting a lot longer lasting machine for having them - so you'll be replacing the bagless (and filters etc) a lot sooner. Bagless are also more maintenance (at least monthly filter cleaning). Bagged machines are also always more hygienic, and the suction power won't degrade unlike bagless machines.

Dysons are crap, but they are the best in their segment - i.e. handheld, rechargeable stick vacuums - but people have this crazy notion that they can replace a dedicated plug-in vacuum cleaner. They simply can't. They can't provide the suction needed to properly clean anything beyond wood or tiles. They are made for spot cleaning in between uses of your dedicated vacuum. But people are happy to pay up to 3x the price for a vacuum that will do less than half a job of a Miele - blows my mind.

Source: worked as a vacuum technician for 10 years.

      • What was the purpose behind comparing this vs stick vac? Miele sucks, no shit, but vacuuming is not all about suction. Dyson is perfect for apartments, and houses with stairs. No dangling bits, nothing to pull, no need to search for PowerPoint, no bag required, easy to use in tight places inc cars. Vacuuming a car with Miele is a pain in the ass.

For carpets, higher suction makes it difficult to vacuum. Those are some of the reasons I don't use my Miele anymore. Now, this reminds me of 80s vacuuming ads with bawling balls.

Dyson is overpriced, and cheap plastic yet their power head continues to be improved.

If you hate Dyson that much, do any comments on $1000 robo vacs lol

Source : I been vacuuming for 20years with both Miele and Dyson

        • Vacuuming a car with Miele is a pain in the ass.

I do it regularly, and don't think so. But, I live in a house and have plenty of space and power points at the garage to move around. Plus, the Miele's cord is pretty long.

For carpets, higher suction makes it difficult to vacuum.

It has various sucking strengths settings, but I always set it at the max. Especially on carpets!

          • @wisdomtooth: Well if you are happy no need to replace it. At the end of the day, we are in ozb, but I'm happy with the change, two different products. Especially on carpeted stairs. Dyson is just so practical, and its power head does clean better in mid-settings.

  • Which one is better to buy compare cat and dog with family all around? Thanks.

  • -1

Meh, I paid $505 at TGGC a couple of years ago.

    • -2

Would the negger pls like to explain his/her neg?

  • -8

Thanks op bought 400 of them wanky comment……

Doubled in price and now it’s a “deal”? WAKE UP!

  • This model is $550 with The Good Guys Commercial at the moment.

    • Don’t point out that it’s not a deal … the locals don’t like it. Gets the post count up though and that’s what really matters.

  • the cord, and the bag. I think people has moved away from these kind of vacuum machines in these days.
we now can choose robot vacuum machine.

    • I prefer the bag (for these reasons), don't mind the cord (at our place, but I get it that it can be a real nuisance in other settings), and prefer the power over convenience (which is not that convenient for us where we currently are).

  • Is this the same model?

$558 with SNS $60 off $500 spend (I think the codes are account specific) or $568 with APRHNG
