@brawndo: Essentially saying get Telstra to price match Google store offer using the 7-Day Price Match guarantee and at the same time claim the Google Watch bonus from Telstra

@Rightnoun: Facebook Market? This is SA, I imagine even more comp and cheaper in Melbourne & Sydney.

@[Deactivated]: Only seen a few Pixel Watches available and used and are $400+ in the last few weeks

        • Credit will be to your bill and watch doesn't worth the RRP.

          7 Day Price Match eligibility
          What prices are excluded?
A lower price is ineligible if the offer is:

inclusive of cashback, coupon offers or gift cards

          from an online only retailer

Any device related credits offered by Telstra for the device that’s being price matched, will be incorporated into the total cost of an item when price matching with an approved retailer.

so 3A and 3B would not work I reckon

          • @interlocal: agree.. its luck sometime. that is why I mentioned max price from our of pocket - Max : $1299

Remember to join Google One for the month to get 10% back in credit.

    https://one.google.com/about/plans

    • Good tip but from my experience, you have to pay for 2 months as the credit isn't applied until a month after the device is sent…or something like that.

    • Does it work with Google One Turkey?

    • Does this definitely work? Would hate to sign up and then find out it doesn't work with unique codes etc. I couldn't find it in the terms and conditions
      .

    • Thanks for the link!

    • Is there anyone out there who has a code. All the codes reported seem to be used now and they have availability back again.

  • +1

Do we get extra 10% off with Student Beans or UniDays? Would be a great deal if we can stack the codes.

    • +2

      No,

10% store credit via Google One is the only stackable.

  • How does one get targeted with these.

    • +2

I believe you need to be subscribed to their spam. Go to store.google.com, then under settings, email preferences check "News and updates" and "Personalised emails".

  • Is the 7 worth it? I'm targeted btw

    • Yes.

    • +1

go with 7 pro if you can, or get a 6 pro

    • +3

Not a priority feature for the pixel.

Google much more likely concerned with battery longevity than realme.

Also best not to neg a deal that you don't like one aspect of the product.

    • +3

Uhh non of that is a valid neg reason.

    • Regardless of the specs, your neg isn't valid as the price is lower than it normally is, thus making it a bargain.

As for sure specs looking better, doesn't always mean better performance.

    • -1

Google phones are a real rip off

    • Hi miss/Mr, you only downvote if you can find cheaper price on the exact item.

  • +5

Waiting for s23u for this price

    • And iphone 14!

      Should be 2-3 more years.

How's the pixel 6a compared to the Motorola edge 20 pro (currently on sale at JB for $499)?

    • +2

I'd only get Motorola if you can get a dirty cheap price like the moto g82 for $200 (which I got) - still stuck on Android 12 …

    • I wanted to buy that Motorola but read reviews that the pictures are not that good. Wondering if Pixel is worth it.

      • Picture with the g82 are just terrible. I miss my pixels, but $200 hey… If camera is important for you, get a pixel, not a moto

  • 7 or 6a?

  • This or Telstra for the watch inclusion?

Seems Telstra only has the pixel 7 pro in 128 variant.

  • When I click the link in the email I am getting $1049 but the email has 974.25

    • +5

      Use coupon

      • Thanks Mate. It worked

  • So I've been needing a new phone for a while now. My S20U has a few issues, but it finally got dropped on Saturday with a cracked screen. I've had my eyes on the Pixel for ages now after being in the Samsung ecosystem for a few generations now.

This is the deal to jump on, right?

    • +1

The Samsung trade in deal is still there with 500 bonus,

      • Not for a damaged phone.

      • With a broken screen on my S20U 512GB I was offered $5. Trade in program is (profanity).

    • +1

Not that it counts for anything but I am in the same boat (albeit different phone of an even older vintage) and this was finally the deal that I jumped on. Almost makes paying for storage instead of offering an SD card slot easier to deal with.

      Almost.

  • 7 or 7 pro?

    • +2

Pro! Using for a few months and very happy with it

      • Do you have issues with the screen? I worry about the phone being dropped and the curved screen cracking.

  • Yes but what do I get for the extra$?

  • -1

Got pixel 6a from amazon for $485. Not sure how this a deal

  • +3

just ordered Pixel 7 Pro for $974 to replace Samsung A71
Many thanks to the OzBargain community for providing great info and sharing the discount code : )

  • +1

Does the Google Store offer any options to pay in installments, or do we have to pay upfront?

  • Anyone owned one for a while now and actually happy with it? Its time for an upgrade and LG no longer make phones so I thought I'd branch out to Google. I went to buy one and tried the demo one in store and it lagged just on home screen so I decided to give it a miss. After reading online from non paid adverts the reviews didn't seem good at all.

    • +4

I do like the look and feel of my P7 Pro but Google need to up their bloody QA because the software glitches are absolute bullshit. Screen stops responding until I lock/unlock. Parts of screen (mainly bottom half) require a ridiculous amount of force to register touches, fixed by locking and unlocking again. Has rebooted a few times for no discernible reason. Under-screen fingerprint reader just doesn't respond sometimes, again fixed by locking and unlocking.

Had none of these problems on my S20U and honestly am surprised by the QA on what is a flagship phone.

    • Honestly, great phone. Easily best value phone going atm. If you're someone who's not a heavy phone user and just needs a phone then get the Pixel 7. If you're someone who likes their phones then get the 7 Pro.

    • +1

I got one at launch after having a succession of mid/high-end Xiaomi phones. What I mostly wanted was a decent camera and screen, and for that it's perfect. I also appreciate the lack of bloatware. Haven't had any QA issues that others have had, nor have I noticed any software issues. That said, I think Xiaomi offer better bang for buck as the phone isn't that much better than my previous one save for the excellent camera, and it's nearly twice the price.

      • Yep, very happy with the pixel 7 (I got the non-pro), great bang for buck without the cost and extra junk.

There was also nothing wrong with the Pixel 5 but thought it was worth updating only because of the JB hi-fi promotions and bonuses with the pre-release deal.

          • +2

            @lonewolf: It's still worth it
In TC's I read that credit is issued 30 days after purchase dispatch

      @Flakuciernie63
Can you explain how you got the 256g for $974? I can see the 128g for that price, but the 256g comes up as $1,086.75
      Thanks

      • Accidently they made price adjustment to 128g model,so it cost me 974-135 store credit , peace

  • Pixel 6a ($524) or Samsung A54 $559 through the education store? Pro's / con's??

  • So… If I buy Pixel 7 for $749 and going overseas for several weeks, would I be able to claim back 10% via TRS scheme? Is Google store invoice good for that (have name, abn etc)?

Another thing is are there any express delivery options? Do not want it to arrive after I leave

    • This is something I am interested in as well as I am going overseas in 6 weeks or so.

      • I just found estimated delivery dates on Google Store site and the model I want would be delivered only in May, so that's a nope from me

        • Their estimates are usually blown out. You should normally receive the phone quite quickly.

The invoice will show the RRP price as well. e.g $999

509 on Amazon right now. Google Pixel 6a – Unlocked Android 5G Smartphone with 12 megapixel Camera and 24-Hour Battery – Carbon https://amzn.asia/d/66abm13

  • My Pixel 3XL got a cracked screen, My first phone with a cracked screen, Dont get why the case didnt protect it. But anyway it must have been some weird angle drop. Phone still works fine, so superficial crack, but repairing it i heard was risky.

Not really sure which one of these phones to upgrade to.

  • Can someone please confirm if Pixel 7 has something like Samsung Dex?

  • Getting cheaper.. I wonder if the P7 will drop under the price I paid at JB $699 - keen on a price protection claim within a year.

  • Hmm I just signed up to google one 2tb and i think you need to wait 1 month before you are even eligible for the 10% discount, so it doesnt sound like people who werent already signed up to the 2tb plan can get the discount for this. This is what it says under my account for benefits : -
