Great desktop speakers - for this price, an absolute bargain.

FYI - there is no security on the Bluetooth. I have a pair of these speakers which are connected to my computer via the RCA cable. My neighbors will regularly connect to my speakers via Bluetooth which takes priority over the RCA connection. I'm about three more TikTok reels away from throwing these off the balcony.

      Edit: off they went

      • Ouch - that's not good.

Luckily my closest neighbour is about 1km away…

      • I think you can turn on or switch mode? That's strange.
go tell your neighbour that the speaker is yours, hit forget in the Bluetooth setting

      • Well at least you save on your tidal or spotify subscription….

      • "Push-in volume control dial to select input source"
        why isn't yours like that?

  • Talk about an impulse buy…

  • Got this a few weeks ago on catch at less than $80 :p but $100 is still a good price

I paid $150 back at the start of covid and I'd happily pay it again so for $101 I'd definitely recommend these to anyone after a good set of speakers.

  • can these be connected to a tv

    • Yes but only thru 3.5mm rca and maybe optical. No ARC

      • or bluetooth, not sure how latency is though

Would love to get them but I need to build up some credit. Bought a lot of weird stuff from the Amazon Warehouse lately. Need to lie low for a while. 😞

  • Can I plug these directly into my PC or will I need an amp?

    • +2

Direct PC output. It comes with a 3.5mm to RCA cable.

      • Cheers mate

  • Damn no sub output. Was hoping for a deal on R1700BTs . Still worth considering at this price

  • Showing as $189 - $40 coupon for me.

    • its expired

  • 189$ with prime, 40$ voucher still available

  • These have absolutely no low end! Fine if you listen to classical music or audiobooks

These are great speakers with a fatal flaw - no fuse on the power. So when it blows, they are caput. I learnt that the hard way. Were great while they lasted though…

  • Had this for 3 years until it blew up. Bought it at $120.

  • I got mine a couple of years ago but was completely underwhelmed so I put them upstairs and forgot about them, recently my wife pulled them out and said something was wrong so I went to test them, on the left only the tweeter worked and on the right only the bass worked. but its too late now for warranty.

    • I have the S1000Pro’s and you need to put it into pairing mode with the remote.

Do these one not require that too?

      • Nope - support advised I just have to long press to volume button on the speakers to disconnect the current Bluetooth connection. However they can simply reconnect with no issue if they wish.

Connecting my computers to the speakers via bluetooth has helped a bit however Windows volume control on bluetooth devices doesnt work properly.

Wow! Mystery solved, I was wondering why my neighbour's voice suddenly came out from the speakers? At first I thought it was some random YouTube clip in the background, but the voice sounded awfully familiar, after a few seconds I realised it was my neighbour on the phone.

For that to happen, does that mean at some point she unintentionally connected to the speakers (probably while trying to connect to her own speakers)? So when she uses the phone while in range, the phone would connect automatically.

But her voice came through, would have thought should be the other side's voice? Or maybe she was the other caller, someone else in her home connected to my speakers.

WTH! For 6 years I didn't know what happened. Though only once, but it was always on the back of my mind.

  • I have these. They are good speakers but not amazing. They can produce a great sound though depending on what you're listening to. A no brainer at this price really.

  • If someone can give me a suggestion so I can stop losing the tiny remote that would be awesome. I might glue it to the couch.

  • It's back on again as a lightning deal as at 6/4/32 00:20WST

I have a pair of Edifier R1380DB I use as PC speakers and I'm satisfied with them, anyone know how these compare? Thinking of swapping the 1380DB as TV speakers and these as my PC speakers.

    • Thanks ordered, delivery showing 24th April though

    • Thanks for this, I bought them at 3am last night, wonder if I need to buy foam to put under them or something

Gah! The deal expired right when I was checking out :(

Expired again? can't see the $40 voucher

  • Anyone know how to connect these to a modern LG TV? No RCA out. Bluetooth works but the TV requires manual reconnection EVERY time I turn it on 🤬

    • Would the RCA to 3.5 mm cable they come with work for that?

      • Specs say TV doesn't have 3.5 mm output!
