This is a different deal to the previous World Elite promotion, similar to Commonwealth Bank, Westpac have now opened this deal up to all debit and credit card holders.

I just tested it with a debit card which was previously denied, and is now eligible.

  • For existing Amazon Prime customers, your eligible Westpac credit or debit Mastercard® rewards you with a $15 amazon.com.au Gift Card paid directly into your Amazon wallet.

  • After the offer period ends, your subscription will automatically renew for $6.99 per month unless you cancel.

Offer subject to change. Terms and conditions apply. Offer is available to eligible Westpac World Mastercard, Platinum Mastercard, Titanium Mastercard, Mastercard Standard cardholders (“Eligible Cards”) signing up to Amazon Prime Australia or existing Amazon Prime Australia customers only, and is valid for redemption until 31/10/23. I think I can clear this up. If you have a different e-mail associated with your card to the one on your Amazon account, one of three things will happen — it will either work or it won’t

Thank you @Tharlow. If that is the case then no wonder it is ever going to work for me.

  • +1

Tried using 2nd email and can continue to Amazon
but once login to amazon got the following message:

This account is not eligible for this offer.

This benefit was used by this account previously. Contact Amazon Customer Service if you have questions about this transaction.

  • Worked for me, got the $15 credit with an existing prime Sub.

  • Awesome. Received $15 credit. Thanks OP

  • Ok…

Checked this morning. Entered card details, worked, got through to Amazon login. But stopped since I had to leave for work.

At work, going through the process again and now it switches between errors, or says i've claimed it already…great…

    • +2

It happened to me last night, but I got an email later. I can click through it and my offer still valid. Maybe just wait for the email to come through.

      • Ta. Guess i'll wait rather than spam my card with $0 temporary holds xD

        • +1

          And email found! And worked~

  • how do u know u got the offer?

    • +1

Put your card number into the form and see if it likes it. If it does, you'll be prompted to sign into Amazon.

  • Worked for me - $15 credit - thanks

  • Thanks, brings Tears of the Kingdom down to $59.

  • Worked for me the first time. $15 credit

      • same same but different

        • Same. Anyone try actually contacting them with the "Contact Us" page?

          • @videoman: Looks like they finally fixed it. I used the exact same information with the same web browser I used last time and today it worked.

    • I had this happening for a couple of days, I just tried again but through a different browser (DuckDuckGo) and it worked 👌

    • tried last fri, yesterday and today. also with different cards, still same.

    • Same - I got this for every promo like this

  • Thanks OP and Westpac ! Got the $15 credit on my debit card

  • Mine said Not Eligible - card used previously. :(

  • Thanks received $15 credit. At least this card is coming in handy to use other than shopback

So this worked for me and I've used the $15 amazon credit already.

However, I told someone else about it and she contacted Westpac and was apparently told it is a SCAM. I'm not worried as I have no $ and will be closing the account shortly, but in case it is a scam I thought I'd post the info here.

    • +4

This is definitely not a scam, I obtained the link directly from within the Westpac Rewards Area of my account. Mastercard have run this for quite a while with different financial institutions, so no idea why they would advise it was a scam.

    • It's firmly in the realm of the apparently. One of the two parties is probably fibbing, or very, very ignorant.

    • +2

You told a friend about getting $15 amazon credit and their first thought is to contact the bank about it?

  • +1

    Amazon keeps saying
this offer has previously been used on this account please contact amazon support ….

    • "This account is not eligible for this offer.

This benefit was used by this account previously. Contact Amazon Customer Service if you have questions about this transaction."

To be exact. How do we get around this ????

      • I thought it was due to my card not being the default payment but that didn't work.

  • Registered and waiting for the $15gift.

    • The site will take amazon website where you will have to login and enter card details again. It will add $15 to your GC balance

  • Thanks OP. My debit card worked for 3-monrhs free membership. Just doing this to trial the streaming app.

  • Weird, plugged in my platinum qantas mastercard and just got:

    Something went wrong
An unexpected error has occurred. Please try again later. If this continues, please reach out to us via the "Contact Us" details at the bottom of this page.
    OK

    • That happened to me too.

      • Did you manage to get a response?

    • I had this happening for a couple of days, I just tried again but through a different browser (DuckDuckGo) and it worked 👌

  • +1

Got error: This account is not eligible for this offer. This benefit was used by this account previously. Contact Amazon Customer Service if you have questions about this transaction. Worth making another Amazon account for this?

  • Yay, free money! It worked for me. Thanks OP

  • Can't redeem due to Commonbank promo. I've redeemed twice before. 3 months and $15 at different times.

  • Keeps timing out

  • The new account gives me a code to take $15 of my first prime purchase.

  • Cheers, got my $15 voucher :)

  • Nice find @doweyy
Well that was an easy $15, I'm sure it will be reinvested into another Amazon purchase!

  • If I sign up the Amazon prime membership and paid with visa debit. Then I change the payment method to an eligible Westpac debit card, will the $15 automatically credited into the account?

  • $15 credit. Cheers OP.

  • Didnt work for me, apparently already used on my westpac credit card, even though this time i tried my separate account debit card.

  • Good thing I didn't cancel my Westpac CC!

  • Got same error message with safari but after switched to a different browser it worked. Only issue is even though I already registered my account and on a free trial, they did not give me option of $15. Only free 3 months

  • -1

Forgot the username and email address I used to sign up!

Anyway know amazon's customer number or way to find my username???

  • I get this message whenever I try:

We unsuccessfully attempted to validate your account status with your card issuing bank. If you believe this was an error, please contact your bank for more details. To assist the bank's review, please inform them that this validation attempt was for a Mastercard Benefits program.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

  • i still dont get how this is different to the last westpac deal ?
\cos both title still about westpac cards

  • Thanks

  • Did this, confirming it works!

  • Any love for Bankwest card?

  • Might want to update the monthly Prime pricing.

  • Does it work with UP?

    • Not working

  • Same something went wrong message with last time CBA card for me. Tried edge safari chrome, tried different email address as well, no luck.

  • nice! i got it, will apply it on 31/10 !

  • Confirmed this worked - westpac and mastercard. Recieved a $15 Gift Card that was applied directly to my Amazon Account

  • I previously used a mastercard from commbank to get 3 months. I recently also opened a westpac account. Would I be able to use my westpac mastercard to get another 3 months free?

    • +2

You need a new Amazon account and a different email address on the Mastercard website too.

  • -2

Not worth it, trash deal… best go to Macdonalds win these trash deals.

    • +1

3 months free of prime is pretty good. One of the better deals youll see

  • Got a new westpac card just now.

    Error
    Something went wrong
Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum quantity of 1 allowed for this product

    • Most likely you have used a previously used email address on the Mastercard website. Just use the gmail +/. trick.

      • Got a code, but unfortunately it pushed me thru to amazon and it got an error there once I logged in.
Maybe amazon has a record then

        • of course, you can only redeem it once per amazon account.

  • Can I use my parents card with my Amazon account?

  • Nice. Used it today to create a second account and it worked

  • +2

Expired as of today (it's in the T&Cs).
