Bear in mind that that may not work and CR may deny the cash back. Even the rep says that it isn’t supposed to work on price matches.
Better to go with Shopback.
It really varies. I've probably made 20+ price matched purchases at Sony and between Cashrewards, Cheddar and Shopback the only one with a less than 100% success rate for me is Shopback.
Have seen a few people reporting issues with Cashrewards in other posts.
I was able to price match in February and earned cashback (for a lens). Has there actually been a change of policy by CR?
If it works it works, but if for some reason it doesn’t work then you’ll be out of luck.
Rep has said in the forums that it doesn’t qualify and it’s up to Sony to approve, at which point you’ll be waiting months.
Too bad the range of lenses is terrible at JB for Sony

Bought this camera in November and I had read reviews that the EVF kinda sucked. I tried it in store and thought it wouldn't really bother me, was good enough. I am now using it on holiday and it does bother me, the EVF is pretty low res with no eye cup so it's pretty hard to see in full sunlight. Everything else about the camera is great though

Ta!I'm pretty sure they share the exact same sensor, there are very minor differences between the two. One thing that comes to mind is the a7c has a max shutter speed of 1/4000 on the mechanical shutter (1/8000 with electronic) while the a7iii has 1/8000 on mechanical if that matters to you. The full articulating screen on the a7c is nice too, not for selfies (unless you plan to do that) but I find it helpful for when I get down low to the ground and do a portrait shot

@portard: Yes, long story - During I was doing the price match with Sony, I asked extra $50 off as I had a perks coupon from JB at the time but they wouldn't do it saying they wouldn't price match with coupons. However, I still purchased from Sony.
When the price dropped, I got back to them and argued how they price matched with JB's after-hour deal as it too was a coupon code, so they agreed to refund me the difference. All they wanted to see was a screenshot from JB's price with the coupon.
It's good that I went with Sony discarding the extra 50 off from JB, because JB didn't agree to pay me the price difference for the lens I bought. (28-200 Tammy) Shame on JB HI-FI! (The lens went on sale too)
