    • Yeah, getting a single carrot that turns to rubber in just a couple of days isn't really an encouraging experience. I think the real key is the sauces and flavourings they make or source. If supermarkets sold single use sachets of these cheaply then you could achieve "Hello Fresh" experience a lot cheaper, and probably better because you will get carrots that last weeks instead of just one day.

      • For any budding entrepreneurs out there, there's your new business venture ☝️

  • Got mine today as well. Cancelled and removed them from paypal.

Got mine yesterday, prepared it last night, worked great. Probably less protein and more salad than I'd cook, but I wasn't left feeling hungry off a single serve (and I'm a big guy), it would feed 4 fine. There's only two of us, so I'm switching to the two person meal for next week to use the $20 off, it's still decent value at $60.

I use the Atlas dinner packs quite often and to compare the two, HelloFresh had less work involved, I really appreciate the pre-cut sofrito and pre-grated and crumbled cheese, but smaller portions. Atlas meals can stretch to 3 from a pack for 2 and they sent way too much in the way of fresh herbs and things like lettuce compared to what is needed. But it's almost $100 delivered for a pack for 2 people of 3 meals, it's overpriced, however the quality of ingredients and the awesome freshly made sauces make up for that somewhat.

The time to cook was fairly accurate too with HelloFresh, it said 40 minutes and it took about 30. Atlas assumes I'll be cooking 3 things at once while also dicing vegetables with the knife skills of a chef for their cooking time to be accurate, HelloFresh assumes one thing at a time so doubling up saves time.

  • received my order today after cancelling it. Was charged full price. No email contact, no live agent. So impossible to contact? So Dodgy.

    • There is chat on their site.

  • New account, they cancelled my order :/

    • Same, they cancelled my account and I got a "sorry to see you go" email.. I do have other accounts at the same address though so guess I'm not completely surprised

  • Appear to work no more - tried with different emails, mob number, payment method and even different address.. somehow it still said I'm a return customer so the referral discount code doesn't work.

  • I used this and didn't even get the chicken breast that was to come with one of the recipes, I would have rather kept my $10.

    • +2

So you think you got poor value for your $10? Really?

      • Chicken was missing from two dishes so it was really a bunch of veggies that were already dying a few days after delivery, sachets (missing some of them also), sauces, and some udon noodles. Didn't have all the ingredients to even make the dishes so yeah a waste of money and an indicator on their service which I'll never use again.

        • Yeah that does sound a bit average. Any meat at all or all missing?

          • @King Tightarse: No meat at all when two meals were chicken (asian style chicken noodle soup was to come with chicken thighs and a crusted chicken and couscous was to come with chicken breast).

They gave me credit on the account but thats kinda pointless as now I have no desire to use them. Already was annoyed them moved YouFoodz to the subscription service lol this was just the icing.

  • They said box is shipping, box never arrived (supposed to come before 7AM), tracking kept saying Pending then On Hold and has been On Hold for 2 days. Delivery fee was funded at night of the delivery date. Subscription is still active (I skipped the next box). Absolutely no communication, no way to contact Support except for calling and waiting. Terrible experience - thankfully I didn't skip Dinnerly this week. I used a bogus phone number but that shouldn't be an issue.

And they had the gall to email me asking if I enjoyed the dinner and to rate them >.>

    • Try chatting to them on their website

      • There’s no option to chat to a support staff, only talking to a bot or call the line.

        • +1

Try again during normal working hours :)

I have chatted to them before

          • @knight321: I have also.

            • @Yola: Would appreciate if anyone can point me to the chat section (that is not powered by the bot) just for future reference.

My partner finally called them today, they said my box was damaged in transit and offered the same discount for next box. I’m still bumped by the lack of update and communication from HF, but I will give it another try.

              • +2

@Pidapipo: There is only one chat option but if you ask to speak to a human it puts one on. Maybe as knight321 said you need to do it during office hours.

Used and added back a referral for a free box. Thank you OZB community.

    • So, my subscription was “successfully cancelled” overnight. Phone number issue I guess :(

  • Has the referral amount gone down to $15 for anybody else? Was $50 up until a few days ago…

    • Still shows as $50 for me

      • Strange.. it suspiciously changed after I spoke to customer service

  • I placed an order yesterday using my wife's email and name, and HelloFresh cancelled it a few hours later (must be because we had a discounted delivery to our current address previously). No explanation given by HelloFresh.

    • Yep its one discount per household, so it must’ve triggered on their system

      • Hi, I have never used HelloFresh before but signed up today for the first time. A few hours later I received an email saying my account has been cancelled. Wtf?

        • I’d suggest contacting support

Yes still working for me as well. HF is being very generous with free boxes.

    • How do you jigg your addy? They use standardized address repository so doesn't allow jigged/ customized inputs

      • I have not ordered the free boxes for a while. I meant they keep giving me free boxes. When I was getting them I used Rd or Road or even lower case, which seemed to work but was over a year ago.

  • Hmm okay, managed to just put through a box for $10 (3 meals, 4 ppl) for delivery on the 17th. They want to charge my next payment on the 15th even though I've skipped the following 3 weeks…anyone know how I can avoid that next payment?

  • Is Revolute Bank still working for people? I cant get past the payment screen with it

  • Always an issue trying to stop the spam physical mail from these guys

They said they cannot stop sending it when I tell them the address they need all the emails …

  • Tried them 2 times each through promotion signups, can't say I liked it.

    The bads
    - Too many single use plastic wrappers
    - Meal kit sizes were not really good.
    - Took lot more time than the advertised time on the cards..

    The goods
    - liked their recipe style, if you can get them off through app it's a good cheat sheet!

    In summary
If you can put together a decent meal by yourself and with the help of your partner, this was a huge waste of time than simply planning your meals and getting the ingredients from local grocery store. When you're past the promotion period it's both time consuming as well as heaps more expensive for the "convenience" you pay for as I found you'd anyway have to drop by the grocery store to get other things you need around the house, so it wasn't really saving time anyway.

    ymmv =)

  • worked, selected meals paid the $10.

Day later and now my accounts been cancelled? anyone else have this happen to them?

    • +1

Yes, it seems they review the orders a day or two after ordering and in your case they failed it. Reason could be address or phone number used before
